Choose "Custom wheel" as profile in game, pedals "Separate". Then try to assign. In case that fails, delete "Automobilista 2" folder from "Documents". That is all your game settings, replays and user profile, so you'll have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
Did you do "Edit assignments" first and configured controls? (Sorry for question but have to ask, as that message indicates wheel axis is not assigned)
Yeah I tried to edit assignments first but this message comes up. Tried various degrees of rotation. Can't figure out what other inputs it could be detecting? Is there a work around altering some of the files?
I have the same issue using Simagic Alpha. I tried the solution of deleting the folder but cannot assign an axis to steering without the same "multiple inputs detected". Any chance you have a solution now?
Use Custom Wheel, seperated. Give the wheel 90 degrees or smaller then try to assign the button That should work or Unplug everything, assign the wheel, and work up your way by plugging every thing one by one back.
The way it works on my Simucube is to turn the wheel 360° in the direction you want to assign and then immediatly return it to center. If I hold it at 360° or go all the way I get the "Multiple inputs detected" error which is a carryover from PC2. Maybe it's the same for your device.
Hi Gevatter, yes this did do the trick eventually! Thank you so much for the explanation, it did assign the axis in reverse a few times but I was able to eventually bind it. Still not sure how a game this detailed cannot simply have a wheel this common supported, Simagic Alpha binds effortlessly to all titles from iracing, both assetto corsa titles, raceroom and to even old richard burns rally.
Like I said, this issue was present in PC2 already. It's an issue whith steering axis assignment in the Madness Engine, has nothing to do with your wheel specifically.
