    Heya,

i can't say if it's connected to the recent patch or if something else caused it (i had to replace the HDD on which Steam was installed for example) and i haven't started up AMS since the last patch, but yesterday i launched AMS again and whenever i exit AMS Steam still thinks it's running.

There's no AMS.exe running in task manager or anything and only terminating Steam via task manager solves that as Steam won't close normally if there's still a game running.

    Any ideas?

Hey, I actually reported this in another thread (or in RD) some days ago, but no one has come up with a suggestion. Annoying, I now have a shortcut to kill Steam everytime I exit the game.

Did you install the spotter mod? this can cause your problem, you have to rename the vr.exe in vr.exe.bak to prevent ams staying active

I'm afraid with such a high level description of the issue we are not going to be able to help at all.

In the sticky there is a description of the type of information that you can provide that will help us.

Specifically mention your wheel, and if you have logitech software running or not if you have such a wheel.

Well, it has nothing to do with the game itself IMO.
There's no misbehavior of AMS, it launches, plays and ends correctly (no AMS.exe running or anything after closing it) it's Steam that still thinks AMS is still running.

The one thing that changed was that i reinstalled Logitech Profiler as for some reason games didn't recognize my G27 correctly anymore.
Only 180° in AC and the virtual wheel in AMS turned at like the doubled rate.

Will try if this also happens with Logitech Profiler not running.

@SimRaceTube no mods installed (well, 2 tracks of Patrick, but that's not altering the game *g*)

    Did 2 things:
    1) Verify files in Steam (found 4 files)
    2) Exit Logitech Profiler

    It doesn't happen anymore.

I then started Logitech Profiler again and it closes again.

Maybe it's really just the "Verify game integrity" or whatever it's called.

This solved it, thanks. So will Spotter still work w/o VR?

I wasn't sure what the wheel had to do with it, as Profiler didn't have any effect on this.
