My wifi disconnects when I am in game. After I push the start button in game I have noticed through task manager it sends 800+ Kbps through the ethernet which causes the wifi to disconnect. Ever time I am playing AMS2 my son was coming in the room and telling me there was no internet. Took my awhile to figure out it was the game that was causing it. As soon as I exit the game or open a browser everything instantly works again. Anybody know why it sends 800Kbps through the ethernet or why it would disconnect? No other game that I have does this.

Maybe interferences with your wheel? Try to unplug it and test the game if it happens again.
Any other Motors on your rig?

With unplugged wheel you also receive Internet disconnects? Okay but it was worth a try to find the source of trouble.
AMS2 ist the only game where it happens? Really strange.
You play other games in the same resolution? The Router is nearby your Monitor/Rig/Computer?

Yes everything is right next to computer. Yes same on all other games, only happens with AMS2. I did not try it with wheel unplugged however. I will try that

OK with wheel unplugged and disconnected still does it. Push start button to enter driving and the ethernet goes up send 800kbps. Exit to menu of AMS2 drops from 800 to 0 and reconnects wifi

Glad to know it worked. Sorry wanted to add a bit more detail before but was busy. You can keep UDP on but set it high. The value actually represents the frame interval between data sends so a value of 1 means data is sent every frame. Even on 60fps, this can cause networking issues. My network handles 5 without issues.
    Basically 60fps with a send every 5 frames= 60/5 = 12 sends per second = 1000/12 =~83,3ms.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks again yes helped very much. Maybe you could help with my other problem. Sometimes when I open AMS2 my FPS maxs out at 60. My monitor is a 144 and is set at 144 in game and nvidia panel. I rebooted once and it fixed it. Then happened again few day later, again the reboot did not worked so I reinstalled the driver before it would work. Then a few days ago rebooted, no. Reinstalled driver, no. Turned off super sampling and that fixed it. So I thought I had it fixed with the SS off. Now it just did it again 15 minutes ago. I rebooted and works fine now at 130fps???

Unfortunately I can't help there as I play fixed 60fps and don't know why that would happen :S

I’m still having issues with this game sucking all the internet.
even just playing offline solo mode.
No other game does this .

Did you turn off UDP Telemetry as advised above? Did you double check?

Did you turn it on and off again? Maybe the setting was badly saved.

I’ve tried, not sure what if any that will do,
I keep seeing these big spikes in kbps when I select a track in time trail mode. Then it reduces to next to nothing

Well selecting track in Time Trial actually does connect online to ask for the top times so there is nothing strange in that regard.

What is your connection? DSL? Cable? Fiber? What is your down/up bandwidth?

I think the spike is enough to trigger something in the router to turn off other ports or something.
we have vdsl , i run pc direct via ethernet and the wifi runs off a second router as well as a ethernet connected tv streaming box.
Ethernet runs 40-60mbs, wifi about 30.

with other games i can be playing while someone is streaming tv and also another is playing playstation off wifi.

But not with this game , it’s turns off the others.
i’ve tried qos settings to prioritise the second router, but not sure if it’s helpful.
