Is there much difference between .......9.6 and ........9.7? I have gone back to 9.6 as i could not get the same feeling of all the road textures and bumps etc. with 9.7. Even with big changes in the file. Maybe I need to delete the AMS 2 documents folder and start again. Please keep up the good work, as, for me, the FFB with these custom files are still better than Default.

    Hey Michael,

Thanks, yes, I agree the default ffb has taken a temporary step backwards.

I did exactly tone down how much the details and bumps are boosted by the Lfb.
I can add a variable to the top tomorrow so you can more easily adjust it.

    Best,

    -K

    Hi inthebagbud,

It is a value to adjust travel distance for the steering wheel to center. You could say it's how much resistance is in the rack/powersteering. The lower the more resistance, so longer travel distance.
It makes for a very different ki d of feel to change it by more than 0.15 or 0.2, as I remember.
I am away, but if I remember correct it should be in the range ]0;1[

Yes, it's the idea that it should vibrate, you can set the values "engine_scale_at_still" and "engine_scale_at_sæeed" to both be 0.0 and it should stop.

Hi @Karsten Hvidberg. Thanks for your quick reply. Just thought, while on the subject of what changes what, could you give me a brief description of what these line actually do?
    (acc_boost_feel 0.0)
    (dec_boost_feel 0.05)
    (feel 1.0)
Thanks, and keep up the great work.

I think something has been changed by Reiza, so LFB at 0 is prohibited to use for now again.
Maybe it becomes less lfb at 1%.

Any recommendations as to which Silver Raw file is considered best for the csw 2.5 lately?
I'm using one from a couple of months back and it looks like Karsten has been busy as there's a few new ones here. Does damping make a difference, I can't really tell.

    Hi Alegunner!

Damping does not make a difference, no.
But I can add dampening in, if it's deemed a good thing to have.
I was thinking make it control friction instead, maybe...
    Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi Karsten, I can't see how dampening would improve things-if anything it might take some feeling away, I don't know.
Gonna give these latest files a rip when I get round to it.

Anyone know what the general concensus of what the AMS2 software gain should be when using a Thrustmaster T300? Default was 75 and I'm sure whether that would start cooking my wheel when using the Karts which I use a lot. I have it on 69 at the moment. Would appreciate some advice. Thanks.

Edit : sorry i miss understood. i thought you were talking about tm control panel.
in game is surly a matter of preference and not pre determined.

75 is considered most linear. cooking your wheel is dependent on how hard and high volume or gain you run in game on top of it.

Thanks for replying! I've got a feeling that i dont quite understand how the gain works tbh! I like the strength and feel of AMS2 in game gain of 75 for the 125cc karts on the kart tracks - but the karts tracks are soooo twisty I think my thrustmaster t300 is probably working much harder than gt cars going around interlagos for example. So yeah, trying to see what others peoples ffb gain settings are who mainly race the karts.

    Hey Easy,

The only thing I could imagine could cause it would be the lfb 0 fix, if you have lfb set at 0.
I just made it in a simpler, more stable way in the latest: https://forum.reizastudios.com/attachments/silver-raw-6-6-5-9-9-9-9-9-8-zip.10912/

You can try that & see if it helps you.
Otherwise I'm afraid it's something in your installation that's causing the issue somehow, as I never heard this from anybody else.

I'm using a Thrustmaster TX with default settings in Thrustmasters Control Panel.

Just wanted to say using your Silver Raw 6.6.5.9.9.9.9.9.8 - Momentum Rack 4.4 Mid Level file and more or less these settings above with this file has given me the best force feedback I've felt yet. Thanks a heap. I've tested with the AMG GT3, Porsche GT4 and Mercedes 190E on Oulton and Brands with great results.

It's getting late here but I'll give it more time tomorrow. Thanks again, very much appreciated.

    Hi Michael,

"feel" is not used at all in the code any longer, so I will remove it from the top section again.
"acc_boost_feel"/"acc_boost_feel" adjusts the ffb based on acceleration/deceleration.
