I wasn't really offended, sorry if it appeared that way. The AI just haven't been balanced yet and our feedback can help to identify for the devs where to look.

For me it’s Monac- er, Azure Circuit. I can easily beat the AI at Kyalami, Kansai, or Interlagos but I’m seconds off the pace around Azure Circuit

You've also to take your own skills in account. You won't be good in every series or on every track. Everyone has his or hers best and worser tracks and series.

I know at Oulton the AI is lovely, but after the chicane they become incredibly slow. A tad too slow for my tastes. But I think it's a good compromise otherwise there will never be fights and passes, lol.

Spielberg short in the Caterham Supersport (125bhp one) at 60% the AI are 4sec per lap faster than me and most of the lap is flat out, there aren't even that many turns. I'm sure I could hear them laughing.

However, Oulton Park Fosters in the Superlight at 60%, absolutely perfect! I can start at the back and make it to the front in 10 laps and they are believable in speed around the whole lap, feels like we are driving the same car.

Would love to know if Reiza is keeping these fundamentals of the AI slider. I had no idea that's how it worked in PC 2. In AMS, it is just a simple multiplier.

Is anybody else having trouble with Formula Classic vs AI?
If I take the modern F3 car around just about any track I can qualify 1-2 seconds ahead of AI for pole
If I take a Formula Classic around the same track I’m 2-3 seconds off last place.
Heres the rub, I’m more comfortable in Classic F1. I spent most of my time in Assetto Corsa in Ferrari 312t and Lotus 97t. I know these cars and I believe I’m pushing them. I drove one of them so hard the engine overheated. Anybody else seeing this or do I just suck?

    Using mostly default setups
    AI @ 90
Most testing done at Interlagos, and 70’s Interlagos

I was ran a few races against the AI at Brands Hatch in the F3 cars (D301 for me, mixed field for AI) and could qualify on pole and beat them in the race at 120. In Formula Classics (tried all generations) I was top five or so in qualifying and could usually beat them in the race.

In Caterham Superlights and Formula Vintage at the same track I’m 2-4 seconds off the last guy which is proabaly more reasonable for having AI at 120. 120 should be super aliens in my world.

Curitiba certainly had this issue, but not sure if its been fixed. I'll restart the F3 Championship to check it out and edit this in a day or two.. Between Curitiba (race 1) and Interlagos (race 2) was a 4 second a lap difference between player to ai pace i.e at Interlagos I was 4 seconds a lap faster than the ai compared to pace parity at Curitiba. That seems to hint at a little more than just 'track ability'.. 97/100 difficulty for reference.

I noticed something similar in the GT3 Championship. I need to adjust the AI strenght slider for every track.

I understand that I as a driver can be better on some tracks, and suck in another, but the difference seems to be too much. Like I have to set AI to 104% in the first race (Adelaide) and still take an easy win, only to have to decrease it to 96% at Brands Hatch to be able to fight for a top ten spot.

Then 98% Silverstone I qualify mid pack, but took a relatively easy win after the pit stops (I climbed from 14th to 5th before cars start pitting) in a 90 min race. Now I'm at Donington at 100% and in the middle of the pack at Qualy. Still to take the race.

I don't know if this can be solved somewhat because human skills are better in some tracks and worst in another, but it's frustrating sometimes to find the right AI slider value for each Championship venue, and in top of that, on some tracks it seems like the Q and R AI performance is not consistent between the two sessions.

Or take your fastest 10 practice laps, average them and use that as the benchmark. It wouldnt even have to be from that session- over time you get faster so that top ten laps is a rolling concept..
Include a weather differentiator and it could be a good way to set difficulty for all weathers and all tracks..
Or use the online leaderboards as a % scale. The list is endless..
