    Hi all,

i was wondering if there are Mmos uses here driving AMS2,

im currently getting the oppertunity to get this wheelbase really cheap, my first DD coming from an T500, but i want to know if it will run AMS2 with all its FFB details before purchasing something i cant use

    Wesley,

I have a mmos small mige osw dd. No issues with all racing games, including AMS 2. Don't worry about the strength, all DD wheels are insane strength, main advantage is the speed of the feedback and resolution of this information.

Does a differents exists in a very old Osw/ionicube ? I want to know that i will recieve absolute every ffb detail in my steering wheel.

    Hey Wesley,

From this point we'll delve into opinion, it will vary from person to person.

Is the old OSW DD as good as the new DD wheels? no of course not, everything evolves and gets even better.

What you want to know is "will this thing blow my mind or at least be worth the money"?

It is still just a wheel, it wont make you an instant Ayrton Senna. It will make you more consistent, because you will find the limit of driving easier because there will be more info and you will get it faster than your T500. One of the first differences you will feel with the wheel is when it is off, there is very little feeling in the wheel, compared to the T500. This is a good thing because there is only a very small amount of inertia in the wheel.. That is part of the reason it is better to use.

Best thing is to try before you buy if possible. If you can feel the difference then you will love it in AMS2.

    Thank you again for replying,

its 400 euro gamble i should take, i already tried to read myself in, in maybe changing the ioni/discovery board for an simucube board to maybe run simucube firmware,

you have convinced me that it will be an upgrade compared to my T500, sure i will not be an instant Ayrton Senna :(:D,
i always put my goal on the 1000 euro’s VRS Direct Force system, then i came across this Ad of a guy living 45 min away from me asking 400 for his Old (2017) simplicity/ionicube assembled diy kit thing with a 10nm mige.

Just unsure this old system would run newer games like in terms of firmware and software compatibility, i need to learn how this DD stuff works,

    again thank you :)

Yes, OK one big thing then is that the wheel is just the motor and controller. You will need the actual steering wheel (I purchased additionally a Martin Ascher button box/ paddle shift and a Momo wheel (just a wheel for a real car). These bolt onto the motor shaft via an adapter. So check what he is selling, just the motor (and power supply/ controller) or complete with wheel and buttons, etc. Otherwise you'll just have a motor, a wheel is cheap, but the buttons/ paddle shift, etc is not. Potentially additional cost? If you can steer and change gears (and you can use the DD) it will be an OK deal.

Thank you for your word again,

It will indeed be the base without a rim,
i am thinking of getting one of those clamp adapters to use my thrustmaster steering wheel (stand alone usb conversion)

Also working on an Mclaren F1 wheel replica for some time now

thanks a million for your advice :)
