Gears won’t shift if in redline

I have tried the Gt1, Gt3, and other cars but for some reason if I leave changing gears to late so it’s red lining then it won’t shift up gears u til I take my foot off the throttle then it wi shift.

I’m using a new fanatec 2.5 club sport and elite pedals with load cell.

If I go to another game like pc2 it works fine

any suggestions

 

Does it work with auto-clutch ON?
If so, then it may be a shift protection and you have to avoid max. rpm or lift throttle when shifting (lifting is not unusual with older cars like GT1, but GT3 is strange).

yeh auto clutch is on, I’ve even put it to manual to try as well. Very strange.
I tried assetto corsa last night and pc2 and it does it their as well. If it gets into redline I can’t change I have to lift. Wonder if their is. Setting in fanalab or something I need to change but not sure what

 

Have you ever deleted your "Documents/Automobilsta2" folder?
Be sure to make a backup first because you will loose all your settings, replays, screenshots,....
Maybe there went something wrong when game was updated. Just try if it doesn't work you can switch back to your backup.

 

No I haven’t, I’ll check that out. But it does it with Ac and project cars as well

 

If it's only an AMS issue then it may would have something to do with settings or config - files in AMS. Is it a problem in general then it is a controller / controller - software issue.

But does the gear not change (as no function from your input) or does the gear jump out (you get a strange scratching sound)?

 

Hi, no strange sounds or anything works great if I change gears before rpm redlines , if it goes to full redline it just won’t change gears at all, but if I take my foot off the throttle for a second and the rpm drop below redline it changes sweet. Does this in all games and all cars
I’ve sent an email to fanatec as well

 

Strange, seems to be a fanatec hardware/ sofware issue.
Are you shifting with the pedals at the steering wheel or with a shift lever?
Do you use any additional dashboard with shifting lights which is connected with your wheel / pedal set?

I can't help you anymore but I am interested what the issue is.

 

Thanks for your help so far. I’m using the paddle shifters on the bmw wheel, just sucks if you hit redline and about to change , but you can’t do you have to slow.
I change the wheel type to custom from fanatec, and it lets me get closer , do now I change just before and it seems to work
