Downloaded the Nurburgring dlc today so I could do some endurance racing on the Nordschleife, only to find its almost impossible because my headlights (GT3) are too weak. Is there any way to fix this? Or are there better cars for Endurance racing? Id expect the GT3 to have proper lighting because of their irl Endurance Racing and was looking forward to do the Nurburgring 24h.. Edit: Racing in VR btw.
Just thought Id give this a bump since it hasnt gotten a lot of attention. I feel this is kinda game breaking. Endurance racing is such a big aspect of motorsports these days and I feel like it cant be that hard to put better headlights on these cars? Ive found some other threads about this as well so I know Im not the only one who feels this way. After experimenting on different tracks with different cars, all headlights seem to be lacking reach and are pointed downward so you cant see more than 50m ahead. Would be great to hear if anyone has heard about a solution or patch incoming...
I think maybe the headlights range was reduced to workaround the shimmer that headlights cause on other cars.....just my thoughts, nothing to prove that though.
It would explain why they would be looking for a fix anyways... But it would be nice if we would get some news about this. Part of the reason why I got this game was for the Multiclass Endurance races...
I had to quit a couple of races because I couldnt see enough after the day/night transition before I wrote these posts but I just tried again on the Nordschleife in practice and I could see way better. Could this have anything to do with the "game mode"? Or could it have been a weather variable maybe? Ill keep trying and see if I can reproduce it somehow, Ill take some screenshots as well...
The headlights have been improved recently (raised), but we really need a hi/low beam option in the long term.
