I’m question is in the title, can I change my forum name at all? My in-game name is my Steam name and if I’m going to join online races it would be nice if both could match up. Thanks
If that’s possible it would be great. Thank you Renato. ....and as I’m speaking directly to you, I’ll take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for the work you and your team have done and continue to do with AMS2. It just gets better and better.
Sorry to be a pain, but could I change my name to “Fizzy” please? (Steam ID). When I joined the backer scheme I wrongly assumed I had to use my real name.
You have the power!! Can you please get my name changed on the pC forum, AC and RD forums also I joined them we i was only a console kid with fresh eyes and still an internet virgin.....how those days have past me But seriously, nice one Renato with allowing it here, no other forums are as good as this one
Yeah great @Renato Simioni for the help to these guys. But as I have said before then I consider it pretty lousy that some people try to hide their track LB identity in the forum by using different "names"/pseudonyms these places. ByTheWay: Eventhough my racing skills had been worse than they are as displayed on as example the TT LBs I would never be so mentally "weak" that I would make it impossible for other people to say: Oh have you seen this guy BrunoB? He isnt so bad on a track as I consider him in the forum
I’m reading it as a genuine ‘thanks’ to Renato from @BrunoB and a follow on message about people in general who try to hide their forum and in-game identity. As opposed to Bruno not reading or understanding my first post and seeing in your subsequent post that you’d also like you forum name to be your Steam ID. Some of us less experienced forum users didn’t realise when we signed up that the game would take our Steam ID and they’d be a match up to our forum posts. I had “ In-game name: Magnus” in my bit that usually says Member etc...but it didn’t quite cut it - thanks to Renato it’s not an issue anymore
I'm the same way. I signed on to here with a different nick then my SteamID. I honestly didn't even think about doing leader board times until just a week or so ago. It makes sense to keep them the same now but ohh well.
Be aware that Im not specially keen (crusader) on this subject. But it has allways "disturbed" me when I just plain simple wanted to follow people from as example one forum to another and like here from the AMS2 forum to the AMS2 boards. I have shortly discussed it with as example @SaxOhare and @2ndLastJedi (if I remember right) because these guys (like me) dont want to hide anything by being incognito on either forum or LB. Thats all. ByTheWay: Its a small thing - but to the contrary of most other here in the forum I feel that I (somewhat) knows these 2 guys - while all the others remain complete strangers eventhough I have seen their forum names several times in the forum.
Don't be sad of your name. Magnus is a powerfull name. It's fricking one of the lead-characters of Chrono Trigger :O
Yeah - and Magnus is also one of the historically original vikings names. Hehe exaggered like as example a possible son Magnus Magnusson. ByTheWay: Guess what his grandson could be named?
I'm a little bit 'incognito" on a couple of forums because i made those accounts when I was new to all this internet thing, I have names I am not happy wit, but unlike this forum those don't allow name changes, so I'm stick with them unless I make a new account for each. In the forum's I care about I am 2ndLastJedi though so that's the main thing. I to like to know people from forum to forum and LB but I also understand that sometimes (like mine) the situation may be the name was made early on or used a name you now would rather have changed.
Hehe I guess its also an age thing (somewhat). Because Im so much old school that I connect people with their "name" - even on the net.
May I request to have my name adjusted from Bisto to “BistoKid” to align with in game name and Steam name please? Much appreciated.
I’m very happy this forum still exists. A lot of the forums are dead because of other social media like Discord etc. I’m an “old” guy who does not like Discord for example. I like the forums for socialising and info etc.. so thanks Reiza. I hope to be hanging around for a long time.
