    Hello!

I've been working on a fan website for a couple weeks. It's based on Coanda's excellent car spreadsheet which is really most of the heavy lifting for this. This is why a "slug" column mysteriously appeared on there if anyone happened to catch it.

Here it is: Cars by Class | Cars of AMS2

Please tell me what you think! I will listen to feedback and improve things when I have time. I can't make every wish come true and sometimes I might disagree with something. But this is really just one take on a thing like this so lets hear some other perspectives.

    ---
    Let me explain the site.

    The vision
I want to document each car and class within Automobilista 2. I'm especially interested in the ones that I have had trouble finding information about quickly and easily such as Copa Uno (already there) and Copa Classic (class background info missing).

Beyond this you can already find the following information for all cars in Automobilista 2:
    • Performance figures
    • Engine information
    • Driveline
    • Assists
    • Features
    • Practicalities
Those are all thanks to Coanda's tireless work on finding out specs and adding them to his spreadsheet. Now you can check specs from Cars of AMS2 if you prefer that instead. I will try to keep this up to date with the latest spreadsheet data regularly. It only takes me a couple minutes thanks to computing magic unless there's a major change in the way data is stored in the spreadsheet.

    Roadmap
I have to start the roadmap by saying that this is a hobby that I do on my free time. So I can't promise any dates. And I might change the roadmap on a whim and many of them I can do in parallel. But it's roughly what I think is needed next.
    1. Done: Images for all cars
    2. Add missing data (map from Coanda's spreadsheet) for all cars
    3. Improve spec interface as it has grown big
    4. Search functionality
    5. Background information for Brazilian series (I will add these if I run into good sources)
    6. Embed videos for cars such as IRL onboards
    7. Driving tips for more cars
    8. ???

I forgot the most obvious source for images...

@Renato Simioni is it ok to use Reiza's car & class images from various social media posts and from this forum?

    Platform updates:
    - Engine aspiration field, derived from engine info
    - Readable engine layouts (I4 -> Inline 4 for example)
    - Differentiate some identical car names with title suffix on car’s page (MetalMoro MRX P3 vs P4)
    - Changed class page layout so that if the class only has a single car, it's presented via a liftup rather than "Cars in class". Example: Copa Uno

    Content updates:

    - Added background info to MCR S2000
    - Updated FTS class info and car background info
    - Fixed stock car background info links to the correct class
    - F-Vintage G2 class info and car images (thanks alink)

In the meantime I extended the Stock Car Brasil class page with more images and text. Stock Car Brasil | Cars of AMS2

I also added a class and car image for Old Stock.

I have a minor correction for you - from your site.
The ARC Camaro uses a Yamaha FJR1300 motor. It's an air cooled 4 stroke, inline 4.
Your site states it has two cylinders, rather than 4.

@Coanda was this a mistake in the spreadsheet or did I misinterpret "2C" when converting those short layout codes to longer format?

...I don't know as I haven't looked at the spreadsheet since it was originally posted.
I just noticed it when I looked up the spec's of the car (out of curiosity) and compared your site's page on it, to wikipedia. I'm aware of the FJR1300 motor (from motorcycle reviews & magazines), so the difference in cylinders jumped out at me.

    Content updates
    - M3 Group A image (thanks Alink!)
    - Copa Classic B images (thanks Alink!)
    - Copa Classic FL images (thanks Alink!)
    - Ultima GTR road car image (thanks Donk!)
    - F309 image (thanks Donk!)
    - F-Retro Gen 1 images (thanks Alink!)
    - Changed 911 Cup 3.8 image (thanks Donk!)

As you can see, the front page looks less and less patchy with gray placeholders everywhere :). However it's not finished. When it's all there (or even before that) I'm considering making a better list for cars. Then later on a big push to have a page for each class so they can be listed separately. This is very much a first-things-first evolutionary approach.

    18,000-19,000 RPM Screamer!

The Williams FW22 was the car that the Williams Formula One team used to compete in the 2000 Formula One season. It marked the first year of the team's collaboration with BMW as an engine supplier, a partnership that would last for the next five seasons; this was also the first Formula One car since 1987 to use BMW engines.

An evolution of the previous season's FW21, the FW22 proved to be extremely promising in the hands of the young but experienced Ralf Schumacher, and the English rookie Jenson Button. In the FW22 the latter became the youngest driver to that date to have scored a World Championship point, at the 2000 Brazilian Grand Prix. Schumacher scored three podium finishes, enabling the team to take a comfortable third place in the Constructors' Championship, behind the dominant Ferrari and McLaren teams.

The FW22 also marked the return of a blue and white livery with the new Compaq sponsorship, after two years in red with Winfield.

    Great work! Just bookmarked it.
Was looking for info of the shifter of the sprintrace. The animation in-car shows Flappy paddles, but it also has a stick moving.

Onboard footage show that both shifters were used at some point
