Every time I try to edit and sometimes only during selection a pit strategy in multi-player AMS2 crashes to desktop. Am I the only one? I can't understand why this is happening to me every time, without exclusion. I have to go to single player to prepare a pit stop strategy, And then I have to be lucky to get back in the (to Short) qualifying session to be able to join the race. And even then the game could crash on me trying to select the desired strategy.
This is such a random sneaky bug, i also got it 2 times in MP sessions... Some questions: Have you already some strategies in the list? Is it happening MP only, or did it also occasionally crashed some time in SP? Have you tried a fresh documents Automobilista 2 folder just to see, if the issue re-occurs? (I didn't had this kind of crash anymore since i had a profile reset)
It isn't random, it is always. As soon as I start editing I can expect the crash, sometimes after one click, sometimes after a few. After deleting my documents folder, I only have the default. I start making setups in single player, but sometimes I have to adjust it to my liking, making me think I'm prepared for a multiplayer race. kaboom Crash..... I never had this experience in single player, but in multiplayer always...... without exception
Have you already some strategies in the list? For me it was in mutilplayer sombody else's session tried to add fuel crashed. tried to edit crashed 3 in same session Is it happening MP only, or did it also occasionally crashed some time in SP? So i have tried joining server and hosting by myself right now in the beta (will do a run in main next) with GT4 and GTE right now at Interlagos and Daytona to test. No crashing. That's the problem, here it happens very rarely and not reproducably, while you are getting it all the time. So are there preferred car/track combos where it happened?
I was able to reproduce it, when being on a server with other people in main build right now, after i saved a setup beforehand.
I have reproduced it again, i will list it here soon and you can try by yourselves, if you get similar results.
So here my way, how i reproduced and avoided it No idea yet, if it is also happening when hosting or just as joined player: The strategy menu doesn't crash, when i have no saved setups. I cleared my tuningsetups folder before the test. The server was Daytona, multiclass, other players and AI on track Then i get into the server and edit my strategy without touching the setup, saving the strategy, switching between strategies, all good, no CTD. Then i tried the same, but this time saving a setup before the procedure and repeating edititing and saving a strategy. When i then switch between 2 strategies in the list of pit strategies, the game will crash. If you guys can find similar behaviour or additional details, might be nice to read it!
Session as host with 1 player Brasilia outer + ai at 115 Whilst in pit set a new stop strat no fuel times but repair saved ok selected as race option saved ok ran race and stopped ok so here all good. crash wise 2nd race tried new strat but was unable set changed fuel or change previous fuel from none to some. stayed grey out in 3 attempts of new strat no crash CTD. could switch between strat but fuel stayed greyed for all my 3 setups
As far as I can recall it happens always, Yesterday it was in the Corvette C8.R on Daytona Road Course Edit: I Hosted a new multiplayer race (which I normally don't do, I always join lobbies) with me as the only contender, And I was able to edit everything setups, strategies without the crash, So I'm not so sure about this always crashing anymore, will do some extra tests tonight.
GTE at Daytona actually also triggered the CTD here. Also interesting, that it also didn't crash here with being host or only contender. This matches some of the impressions here! Thank you!
It isn't tonight but couldn't wait, I did another test M6 Gt3 Bathurst Joined public Race No saved setups, No changes to setup. I can Edit and save a Pit strategy, direct after saving and editing the strategy I tried to make a new strategy, resulting in CTD while clicking in the name field.
