Multiplayer public lobby's

So, last night I ventured into public lobby's as normally I just stick to pre-arranged online stuff so at least you have a chance of a decent and fair race. First race was Formula Ultimate at Spielberg so I went in and it was busy. I got through qualy in my normal near the back position. First lap seems as though there is a new mode for some people, it's called let's spoon the car in front so he ends up on his roof. Obviously I didn't last long as I got spooned before turn 1 so the time and effort taken to qualy was quickly undone by the spooners. I left multiplayer at this point and did some other stuff. I foolishly went back about an hour later only this time I did practice, qualy then the race. This time I made sure I started at the back so as to avoid the spooning. The driving was abysmal and I expected this I suppose being of more mature years and gaming since 19## but I managed to navigate the carnage at turn 1 and settled into the race, always conscious that at any time I would be taken out or spooned onto my roof. Anyway a few laps in and coming round the last corner, and yes a spooner got me and I ended up on the roof race over. Ok you might ask why has Jim started a thread when we all know that idiots do race and only occasionally do you find a decent lobby well, I normally do my online via clubs (Race Department) or SGP but sometimes, I don't always want to do that and it would be nice to get a list of steam friends and If we happen to be on at the same time, we can organise something off the cuff so to speak between ourselves and hopefully keep the spooners out. Racing incidents occur but deliberate acts are too much. If you fancy some ad hoc racing between us then just include your steam name . I've tried this before with not much success but I'll try it again in the hope that whatever level, we can race without idiots. Cheers. I even have a discord channel if you fancied chatting but no problem If you don't. I'm based in the UK.

Yeah i agree, the middle of the pack is mostly where the mayhem is, but i like to start from the back and see how far i can get
