I can't stop my car in the pits . How to end a race without pressing 'escape' ?

I'm enjoying this game, especially the Brand new Brands Hatch content.. Awesome!

One issue for me is, when the race ends, I do another final lap with the rest of the cars.
Then we all go into the pit lane, and all the cars enter their garage, but I just stop for a second, then start driving out of the pits again.
There isn't much closure to the race.
I have to press 'escape' and end the race that way.

I don't mind much personally, i enjoy the racing and that's that.
But it would be nicer presentation if the race actually had closure without having to quit out of it ?

 

For me, when I arrive in pit after the end of the race, I just stop on my box pit and turn off my engine. That's all. Never had your problem. Try to not enter the garage, just stop outside it in the parking pit.

 

I try that, but then it instantly leaves the pit lane again.
I think I turned off my engine, and then it just sat there.
There is no closure to a race
I have to quit out of it.

 

Just tried again.
finished race, drove into pits, drove to the arrow, turned off ignition.
Nothing happened, just sat there waiting for eternity.

It's ignition you have to turn off right?

 

This is how my race ends also. I just think that we need to Esc out. It would be nice to have a screen pop up with Driver positions and times.

 

Another issue: in Velopark practice sessions, I can't even start my car. But on other tracks it starts fine.
Definitely a few bugs and presentations issues.


It's pretty naff to be honest.
At least the actual meat and bones of the game - the racing - is great!
