Attempting to recreate the final round of the inaugural run of the International Race of Champions (IROC) from 1974. Fantastic AI race. It's only 5 laps coz YouTube, but I highly reccomend the full 25 lap race with mandatory pit. What a blast!

People say AMS2 is too bouncy. I say come take a tour inside Alonso's helmet.
This is from the ongoing F1 Practice 2 Session at Spa.

Yep.. Here is to those saying that human neck is filtering bumps almost completely...

tbf it's not the neck that does it, it's the eyes who can lock towards the horizon and help us deal with these things. but then again, yes, these cars are bouncy, racing in real life is very exhausting and demanding physically. i dont have much of a complaint in how ams does it.

Only time it feels over done to me is when I'm in the gravel/grass which is far more often than you'd imagine. Being in the gravel in the 190e is like being at sea. On track it's fine though.

I'd say the only moments it kind of bothers me is when i go for some mad combos like F Ultimate at Salvador, but tbh the track is not F1 spec so it IS very bumpy.

I don't want to be mean but I don't see how my eyes can be fixed over the horizon running after it already just watching that video let alone in real life. If you try and drive just a go kart in an outdoor track with kerbs you will realize your eyes can't get to stabilize on any point when the kart is shaking over a kerb or on track bumpy spots. It's just impossible and soon you will get headache if you try. The only way to do it, as crazy as it feels, is to let your brain get used to extract the information from a shaky blurred picture sort of "filtering" it by "software" (brain) not by hardware "eyes". At least that is how I was coping with the shakiness of karting

Yep. Nailed it. It is the info coming through the brain which is filtered and when driving the shaking is not felt the same way as what you see on cam. And maybe this is a future that could be introduced at some point. A filter to smooth the cam vibrations a bit.

I'm not saying it's not bumping, but usually cameras in the helmets bouncy more than it should. I tried to do the same with a camera while i was driving in a kart indoor, it looks i was driving in a WRC rally. But the bump it's real.

Btw, excellent job for those who are doing this AMS X Real Life footage. It's a really impressive job.

You just got into more detail than what I said x3 I said eyes but really meant the way the brain processes the visual information <3 Thanks!

He states that the new GT3 is another step up over previous gen, so probably not relevant to AMS2 yet...but maybe in the future Reiza may gift us updated models.

I generally accept the way grass works in AMS2, but soaked grass is like ice IRL from what I've read. So this would be a more extreme example.

Btw: Has anyone verified if AMS2 changes grass grip levels between dry and wet?
