Hello, I would like to know about the development of the "competition system", like the one that ACC or RF2 uses, are they working on it?
Sorry to just completely hijack this thread, but I guess its related… Is there anything like SimGrid for AMS2?
Yes there is. I have been using JustRace for a few weeks now. It's a project that has been going on for years and both as a racer and an organiser it is quite awesome how it all works. But it needs more people to join in. We got AMSU and SteelCast right now along with a few random events and down the line Wolf Pack Racing as they need to draw more interest out of users to build an AMS2 league... but daily races might be created soon enough. The devs constantly work on ease of use and improving the compatibility and functionality of the scheduler so that more race/league organisers find the appeal to use it. Welcome to JustRace
Id love to join an actual league again but unfortunately Im only home for a couple days/weeks at a time because I work abroad. A daily race system, like SimGrid, would be perfect because I want to race in VR and even my 3080 doesnt get along with ACC. But I see they do one off's at JustRace as well so Ill definitly be looking into it. Thanks!
As a regular user you can look for events you want to join. As an organiser you download the JustRace Server Manager and the dedicated server programs so you can create a community (or be made an admin) and use the JR scheduling system to create events. The server manager will set the configuration files, bring the server online and then close it when the event is over to upload the results to JustRace. You can learn a bit more through the FAQ here.
