I look forward to trying these once you are back and have time to update. I will happily provide as much feedback as you'd like :)

    Edit

"This is embarrassing, there is a description of sliders effect in the files, really I should have paid more attention sorry for the post below

and I am actually using that version

    # NAME: Silver Raw - rFuktor 4.6 - Delta-X Tune_V2.1 - Momentum Rack 6.3 - Karsten with Shadak & Panos - High end base file by Kuku
    # Featuring Santos & tUMi.

I might come back here though to get some assistance to find best balance"

Really sorry asking this but i am coming back to ams2 after a couple of months of RRE and RF2 focus and i lost my references on what in game sliders do in the Custom FFB

Main issues i am having is weight of the wheel and notchy feeling
I am testing with kuku modified rfuktor 4.5 i think it is the version i will double check that

i am bit struggling for example driving right now the GTE class with either very snappy uncontrollable behavior or super heavy steering

My wheel is TSPC racer and i cant remember having such issues few months back just leaving sliders at default or with minor adjustments on some cars

    Thanks a lot

Thanks for the reply and what a rabbit hole the last 5 hours have been..

Ive been playing aroudn with the files but there seems to be a few more lines of code in your tune compared to the stakanov tune. Eg

    # Rack settings
    # General User - tuning multpliers
    # FYI ,numbers outside of brakets are previous default setting from original.
    # only number in braket is read by game.

(rack_friction 0.17) #resist to both your force and pull force. Range:10-25
(center_relax 0.04) 0.04 #Adds a little buffer around centre, like an artificial deadzone Range: 0-1.0
    (over_steer_scale 1.0) #oversteer ratio muliple
(relax_over_steer 0.0) 0.3 #adds small delay or lag , may be needed on DD with no deadzone ?
    (over_steer_coef 0.99)
    (under_steer_scale 0.04)
    (relax_under_steer 0.00)
    (under_steer_coef 0.99)
(yaw_scale 1.0) # yaw multiple, best to keep similar to oversteer, strong influence on force weight
    (yaw_stretch_front 0.0) #seldom used
    (yaw_stretch_rear 0.0)
    (relax_yaw_center 0.0)
    (accel_feel 0.1) #some tightning on accel
    (brake_feel 1.5) # brake centering multiplier
    (front_drive_torque_feel 1.0) 0.7
    (rear_drive_torque_feel 1.0) 0
(exaggerate_front_load_feel 0.75) 0.15 #usefull for more realistic front end sensation
    (exaggerate_front_load_feel_hi_df 0.25) 0.05
(rear_grip_loss_feel 0.0) #How much rear grip loss decreases feel of grip
    (bump_feel_follow_weight 0.15) 0.30 #how much car weight influences effect
    (brake_feel_follow_weight 0.15)
    (brake_coef 1.2) #not sure if releveant anymore

    VS

    # Rack settings
    #

#Tighten, center, lfb, damping, power_steering and rack friction settings:
(tighten_range 0.12) #Use for lower end wheel bases with a huge deadzone.
(tighten_falloff 0.012) #Use for lower end wheel bases with a huge deadzone.
    (center_full (blend (min 1 (* lfb_slider 10)) 0.2 0.4)) #0.0-2.0. Higher than 2 does not really do anything good.
    (center_relax 0.05)
(lfb_slider_strength 1.0) #0.0-1.0. How steep lfb slider adjusts the curve.
    (damping 0.30)
    (power_steering damping_slider) #power steering
    (rack_friction 0.20)

When I copying all the lines of code the feeling is the same and its very lights. When I bump up the values to match its way too strong.

    Any thoughts are appreciated

    Ie

    I think maybe Kuku was talking about a single line. Maybe this one;
    You could try increasing these lines;
    (kerbs_surface_scale 2.8)
Go up on that value to get more feeling from the surface of the Kerb
    or this one;
    (kerb_bump_scale 2.8)
That is the bump felt coming onto the kerbs.
    Good luck.

I was only referring to the road features section relevant to kerb fx.
    # Road features settings
    #

    (texture_scale 1.20)
    (micro_bumps_scale 0.25)
    (kerbs_surface_scale 3.25)
(kerb_bump_scale 2.65) #How big the tall curb bumps are.
(large_track_bump_scale 0.05) #how much bumps on the track are felt.
(large_offroad_bump_scale 0.05) #how much bumps off the track are felt.

there’s actually many more lines of added code in stakanovs set up, I’ve tried to make mine a little simpler.
But there’s some big fundamentals that are different, so much of it will not be copy and paste friendly without careful attention to detail.

    Hello
I have spent my Japanese afternoon time to do some testing

I usually test 3 cars the C8R, the M6GT3 and the P2 Metalmoro on also 3 different tracks, Spa, current Silverstone and current Kyalami

My wheel is TSPC racer, I have set in the TM CP` the Gain at 100% and all Damping, spring etc also at 100%.Self centering defined by Game.

After lot of tweaking, the best compromise providing a good experience was to set in game sliders as Gain70/LFB10,FX 35,Damping35

With Reiza defaut FFB, I still feel the wheel being a bit too notchy especially on Kyalami track for whatever reason but it also shows on Silverstone&Spa, and I feel the road details are also still a bit too present through the wheel (I am using 6 Bassshakers on my rig with Simhub in addition to FFB from the wheel, 2 are dedicated to road textures tactile feedback)
However the overall wheel weight feel is good and countersteer is fast the way I like it allowing me to recover from some situations where the car would go to the limit of grip.

With Kuku v3 of Rfuktor 4.6, the notchy feel around center is gone, the road details feel more natural but the problem I have is that countersteer potential is really too slow for my taste.
I would interpret this as the steering rack is over damped but whatever I do on the Gain and Damping, I cant manage to achieve the same reactivity and speed of the steering I have with the default FFB

any guidance to improve this on my Custom FFB is much appreciated

    thanks a lot

Thanks again, I recopied the original file and adjusted just those settings and tweaked a few of the values and that works heaps better.
Ended up here if your curious.

    Road features settings
    # User preferances

    (texture_scale 1.15)
    (micro_bumps_scale 0.22)
    (kerbs_surface_scale 3.0)
(kerb_bump_scale 2.45) #How big the tall curb bumps are.
(large_track_bump_scale 0.05) #how much bumps on the track are felt.
(large_offroad_bump_scale 0.05) #how much bumps off the track are felt.

    Thanks again

Turn the centering strength back up, it’s too low I think for most.
(centering (blend (- 1 trail_strength_feel) 0.32 0.5)) # Range 0.32-0.52 , speed of wheel centering itself, use in contuction with force scale.

try 0.42 and if still not enough 0.52.

Thank you for the quick reply

I will try to adjust this parameter

would you advise to try also some combination with force scale adjustment or focusing only on the centering strength?
    Thanks again

Or try turning spring and damper to 0 in TM CP. I have TSPC as well and it makes default FFB much better. Kuku versions v3 and v2 feel great for me for GT3 cars or something similar but its hard for me to use them with Formula Ultimate because of the oscillations which are usually DD wheel problem.

I doubt you would need to adjust force strength, that’s probably only something low power wheels might need if running standard static force reduction values.

this is something I need to know, as I have in file damper down low.
Does increasing the the (d. 0.04) multiple help ?
    Or maybe centre relax ?

Thanks, I'll definitely try it but I don't think I have time before Wednesday/Thursday.

    With default FFB it was
    Gain 65
    LFB 15
    FX 40
Damper 0 (at least I remember I had it on zero, maybe I added a bit)

With Kuku v3 I played around with following
    Gain 60-70
    LFB 5-10
    FX 30
Damper (Power steering in case of these custom files) 30-40

Thanks a lot surely same settings than mine with kuku file

Will try your TM CP trick with spring&damper at 0 and share my findings back here

    Thanks again

Thought I'd share my positive experience with custom FFB and a Thrustmaster TS-XW. I'd been reluctant to go down this road in the past to avoid one more thing that needed to be adjusted after each update.
Decided to keep it simple with Karsten's latest 4.6 release and his settings for a CSW 2.5. I made the same changes to kerb_bump_scale and scrub scale. The improvements in curb and lateral grip feedback were immediately apparent. However it felt like I had sacrificed road feel and ABS/lockup feedback.
After some trial and error I ended up with in game settings close to what I previously used with default FFB. I'm no longer feeling a sacrifice in road feel or ABS/lockup feedback. As an added bonus the centering force is reduced and more to my liking. The increased lateral grip feedback is great. I've noticed many times where I keep a car under control when I put a wheel or two off and it's just intuitive.
Something else I would recommend for TS-XW users is the latest v8.00 firmware update. It provided a noticeable improvement in low force effects in all of the sims I drive.

    Thrustmaster TS-XW Control Panel settings:
    • Overall 75
    • Constant 100
    • Periodic 100
    • Spring 100
    • Damper 100
    • Auto-Center by the game

    Previous in-game default FFB settings:
    • Gain 75
    • LFB 45
    • FX 45
    • Damping 0
    • Menu Spring 40

    New in-game custom FFB settings:
    • Gain 75
    • LFB 40
    • FX 45
    • Damping 45
    • Menu Spring 40

Thanks to everyone involved for their contributions to this mod.

Your wheel is the same base than the TSPC racer, do you mind sharing your actual custom FFB file here?
I am happy to give it a try if you can
    Thanks a lot

I downloaded rFuktor-tunes2.zip using the link under "---- Silver Raw all latest files for all wheel bases ----" in post 2 on page 1 of this thread. Extract the file from the "Original high-end file" folder in the zip. Change kerb_bump_scale in the file to 2.5 and scrub_scale to 1.4.

Just got my Simucube 2 sport. Is Silver Raw - rFuktor - Delta-X Tune_V3 by Kuku considered the best to use for simucube? Also what truedrive settings are preferred.

I've tried a lot of different ones but so many parameters to keep track off.

Any Simucube owners who want to chime in :) ?

I would suggest getting set up with the Karstens standard 4.6. original high end file.
it was made on a Simucube after all, and there's some suggested settings in zip

once your comfortable with it, then try some others,
Delta V2 is popular, V3 is still Beta for a now.
