    Hi dear community!

I just want some simple answer to how to TC works in AMS2, i red all posts in the forum and also on steam, but there is no 100% satisfying answer to it. Sometimes someone saying the "right" things imo and then nobody replying to it to proof it etc. .

What (i think) i know so far:

    - There´s an META-TC SETTING (via Main Menu) which you can set to off/low/mid/high (it sets WHEN TC kicks in, like the TC1 in ACC (Ferrari etc.) --- Keybinding possible (?)

IS THIS RIGHT OR IS THIS ONLY A artificial TC for cars that haven´t one ?
AND if i turn that to "off" it should have no effect on let´s say GT3? So the setup/onboard screen TC should work.

    - There´s an TC setting in the setup screen and in the Car management system which you can also (keybind) which is defining HOW MUCH the TC cuts if TC is kicking in (defined via the TC1 (low/mid/high setting).
The lower the number, the higher the cut is (0 or 1 means it cuts max if it cuts) right? ;)

I know that some dependencies are loosing their meaning if one of the things above aren´t right, so a master of TC in AMS2 should post a definitive explanation for TC if he/she likes. That would be awesome and helpfull.

AND IF THIS MASTER GIVES THE RIGHT/WRONG/PARTLY R or W ANSWER pls reply to it and let´s clear things for members like me and new drivers to AMS2.

    Thank you!

    Andy

CrimsonEminence WROTE THIS (i had to move thread to AMS2--general, had it accidently in AMS1--- gerneral)

There is an Onboard TC setting mapping in the controls -> Vehicle specific TC, that registers slip per Vehicle and can be set in 10 steps right now. (Vehicle controls settings)

-> The higher the number the less percentage of slip will be allowed by the vehicle. (10 very little slip allowed/less wheelspin -> 1 very much slip allowed/more wheelspin)

    -------------------------------------------

There is a General Game specific driving aid TC that is a driving aid, that can be applied to each single car in the game (Assistance controls settings) -> Only really useful if you are using non-authentic driving assists setting because it only has so little steps. The higher the setting, the more intrusive it will apply to all cars.

    --------------------------------------

Both settings are basically using the same underlying system, but the Vehicle Onboard setting (that can be used up and down in steps) only applies to vehicles, that actually have a TC in real life and its steps are set individually to slip percentages of the respective car.

Theank you for your reply CrimsonEminence, does that mean that they changed the PC2 style how numbers working in TC settings (i can rember there it was the lower the number the more TC cuts, also in the early AMS2) right?

    Yup!
Pcars2 TC was working differently, as you said. AMS2 also uses a differently applying TC system in workwise than pCars2 now.

That´s a good thing. I red the same thing you said (higher number is more TC) in the setup screen description, so they added that in the on screen text, but i wasn´t sure. no iam.
One problem i had if a larger number is a higher TC cut was by trying it out on track. It was hard to tell if TC is on/off, weak/strong. In ACC you can´t spin with TC on, only with TC off. Can it be that TC is more suttle in AMS2?

I still don't notice the dramatic effect that TC10 should induce, I recently had this in my RL car and it was extremely noticable for both, engine sound and steering wheel (FWD).

In terms of intrusiveness and effectivity of some cars TC optimization, there is definetly room for improvement, no question.
