Why is the ping doubled?

So we did some testing with this as the title says, on our dedi that runs ACC/Raceroom and AMS2 my ping to ACC and Raceroom is around 60 but in AMS2 it is doubled to 120, tested also on a server that I pinged at 30 but server reports 60 in game?

Now 120 is not a problem as such just curious why it is like that, for some people in the US that join us at 150 on ACC for example they are reporting 300 on the same dedi on AMS2.

 

If I am not mistaken, the ME netcode reports Round Trip Ping, so from you to the other driver/server and back.

 

Yeah we guessed it was this but I don't remember PC2 doing it that way but I may be mistaken?
