everytime i dont drive my car for a few days and only play racing sims, the first thing i notice when driving my own car, is that wind is quite present IRL compared to games.

wind isnt just a constant value that accelerates me or slows me down depending if i am going towards or along it.
speeds here are pretty low even on the 'highway', and yet sidewind is noticeable.
last night we had just 25-30kph windspeed and my car kept getting pushed around left and right, and i have never noticed my car getting pushed around in any sim.
aspecially objects that stand around, such as trees, sound-walls and bridgepillers greatly effect how the wind interacts with my car.
ingame, even with cars of similiar (none) aero package, this isnt noticeable.

i doubt they will be able to add that, just based off of what they managed to add to the game in the last 2years, but still i think wind is an important aspect of driving a vehicle

It is true that wind doesn't influence the car balance that much but it is also mostly because ingame it will be simulated at a constant speed or gentle acceleration/decelerations, which allows for easy enough adjusting to. Nevermind that most sessions are usually done in decent weather, which doesn't carry high default wind speeds. Real Weather does however poll and import wind speed so you can have a sunny yet windy session.

Additionally, what we often feel pushing our cars IRL are gusts of wind aka quick wind speed variations. I agree it would be nice to have these in sims.

yep i think they were indeed gusts, but then again i am not an expert, it was quite a crazy drive last night xD

my car got pushed around at 130kph almost a whole lane in not even a second (road was wet too)
then u adjust ur wheel so u keep going straight, suddenly the wind gets blocked off by something and u drive over to the other lane, u steer straight and boom wind is back xD

i guess its different for a high downforce race car, but i used to drive a vw polo and in windy conditions i definitely felt the wind affect but the car but never in ams2

I wish AMS2 get like Gran Turismo 4 (GT5 and 6 also have it, but is less audible because of a more realistic sound mix) wind sounds, that kinda break when you are slipstreaming another car.

If I'm not wrong, AMS2 simulates wind... even in historic weather. IMHO, it only don't sound that good. BTW, sound mix is, actually, AMS2 weakest spot.
