Are Safety Cars still in the pipeline? Are they still actively being worked on, or have they fallen down the order into "nice to have" category but probably won't make it into the game? Anyone hear anything?
This was covered in the facebook Q&A earlier this year, here is a snippet: Dylan Mj Hale Multiple questions, sorry I know its a lot but lots of very important topics to cover. -In regards to future cars, can we expect to see some more historical content? With the historical track pack scheduled as DLC, I am very much hoping it comes with more 60's-90's sports and touring style cars, and quite frankly, I'm perfectly okay with fictional vehicles when they look and drive as good as yours! -In the Racing USA pack, in regards to Oval racing, can we expect to see full course cautions, and correct pit crew animations for those vehicles/tracks? -With Motorsport games taking over the licensing rights for LeMans, does that pertain to the event, or the circuit? Is there anyway we can get Lemans (historical or modern) into Automoblista 2? (If not, could we get some other classic road race like say, The Targa Florio?) -Will feature DLC packs be simular in size and scope of the 3 combined USA packs? Or can we expect more track packs in-between the big packs? Lastly, thank you guys for making such a great game, and thank you for adding some of the crazy and strange cars we don't often see in sim racing. Seeing stuff like the racing semi trucks, the fan car, and the IMSA DPI (which I'm super excited to try) is just the coolest, so thanks guys! Renato Simioni 1-Certainly plenty of historical content still to come (cars and tracks). 2- Full course yellows / safety car are in the plans; not sure how much more bespoke pit crew animation you can expect to see, there are some variations already. 3- I´m not sure what the situation is currently regarding Le Mans, whether they have entered an exclusive agreement with MG or if that only goes as far as the virtual event – remains to be seen. We did have some discussions with their licensing representative early on and the licensing fees were out of our price range – nothing is out of the cards at this stage but we´d need to sell a lot more copies of AMS2 for it to be on the table for us (assuming the track itself hasn´t become a MG exclusive). 4- The other Expansion Packs will vary in size and scope – some may feature bigger track lists than the US Pack, others fewer. Thank you for the kind words!
Full Course Yellow is confirmed to be planned for 2022! We need this for proper oval racing, of course. Further details will come in the future!
