Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

Since the latest update of the game, I often have a FFB loss during driving. Observed that by using following wheels: Thrustmaster T 300, Thrustmaster TS-XW and even with a Fanatec Podium 1 wheel when playing on a friend's PC.
All over sudden, the FFB is completely gone. The wheels are not overheating or damaged and it does not occur in other games. This problem had been there in early builds of the game, then did not happen for a long time. Since latest update, it is back again.

Edit: After restarting game, FFB works again.

 

This also happens at Monza 1991. They guys who have the first pit spots after entry can not stop the car because of their speed and go through lane without pitting. Some also bit in penultimate lap. Results in a DQ.

Just testing now and ok so was weird to have that yesterday same setting for test
(reset yesterday many ways stayed the same)
NP seems to have disappeared retested same tracks ok today

 

Track & Layout Used: Nordschleife
Car Used: AJR (but not sure it is related). multiclass session with P1, P2, P3, GT3, GT4, GT5
Applicable Settings: - Practice session, 1h long, daytime, max opponents count, not sure what else influences the behavior.
Report: The game CONSTANTLY freezes for 1-2 seconds at the same spot of the track causing me to lose the car ruining my session. It happens around the corners Wippermann and Eschbach, a few corners after the carousel. (Details in the attached file)
Steps to reproduce: Start a practice session and drive to the session after the carousel.

EDITED: this happened three or four times in the spot I mentioned, in my first or second lap. But now it just happened exiting Flugplatz in my third lap after reducing the graphics a bit. I am usinig basically minimum graphics, but sure how it influences this problem.

BTW, is there a way to cap the FPS?

description: Needs confirming but today I had a little tryout in a P3 at Nords and crashed it a bit needing repairs in a pitstop. This I did not complete but then tried a diff combo, F3 at Donny, went into the pits for a pit stop and had to wait for a long repair (I had only done two laps without causing any damage). This made me think a pit repair was flagged to be done in the first session but not completed and somehow left active for the next pit-stop and so was carried into this second new Qual/Race session.

Report: AI constantly shred their cars on the wall when trying to enter pits.

Report: When AI goes to pits after a crash and having a damage (f.e.: lost wing), car does not get repaired in pits in a visible way. So, you see many cars on track driving without front wing.
But when watching the replay later on, there they have a new wing after their pitstop....

Report: AI cannot refuel in the pits, so they retire (I had 5x fuel usage).

(P.S. Pit Refueling was set to YES, of course). I had "F1 1997" championship. All other tracks were OK.

 

I experienced the same thing, at Nurburring - Formula Classic Gen 3. x3 fuel usage

 

I got AMS2 in June 2021, every time I play the game I get microfreeze at some point, the game freezes for a fraction of a second then comes back, it apparently skips frames, it always happens either in a braking zone while I'm downshifting or in the middle of a corner, and it totally messes things up (I've crashed my car several times because of these microfreezes). It doesn't matter which mode, TT, single race, championship, test day by myself, any car, any track.
My PC specs: i7 4790 @4GHz, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 6GB, Windows 10 Pro.

That's not enough info.... Have you done the usual, updated windows, drivers, hardware bios, is your hard drive full, fragmented, etc... Which A/V are you running? What other services are running at the same time? (Sync tools, zoom, etc..) that might be sucking the lifecycles out of our CPU/GPU, etc... Check if you have bad checksums on your hard drive? Re-installed the game? If all of that is already done, time to reformat your computer...

 

1) Yes, everything up to date.
2) no, 500+GBs of free space.
3) Windows Defender, the entire Steam folder is in the exceptions list.
4) none, only AMS2 & Steam client, I disabled all background programs I could in Windows settings.
5) I'm not going to reformat my computer because of 1 game, there has got to be another option considering I only have microfreezes in AMS2.

Report: While under AI control the car was driven into the right side wall by the AI coming out of last turn, got 3% damage on the front. Another guy in the lobby said the same happened to him before the start under AI control.
