Hello! With the recent updates I found myself spending a lot more time in AMS2, I really start to like this AI which is still not perfect but one of the best among the current titles. A couple of minutes ago I tried my first online race in AMS2. Offline, AMS2 runs like butter, limited to constant 90 FPS via RivaTuner, no lag, no stuttering, perfectly smooth, even with full AI grids. Online... was a lot of stuttering during the race, every few seconds. Is this normal, if not, does it depend on the server type (dedicated or not) or something else? My connection was in the green on the player list. Sorry if this is a dumb question, I was just really surprised how much it was lagging. Thanks for any information!
Known issue and the team is investigating it. As a workaround i recommend to turn UDP to "OFF" in the "System" Settings of AMS2. It might work to get rid of the MP stutters for now.
if u need a spotter that works without udp/shared memory, feel free to check out this thread: pAMS2Spotter (p stands for Perfect) comes with some other features too ^^
Crew Chief works with Shared Memory set to "Project CARS 2". UDP doesn't matter for Crew Chief. UDP is important for some motion systems and I/M/O live temps in telemetry tools for example. Spotting works fine. You can also try out the tool by @toniware, yeah.
