Is anyone else getting this patch shadow on the tracks when racing at night ? If so do you kindly know of a fix ? Really killing the immersion of the game. I'm using a RTX2080 graphics card. All other simracing games work perfect with night time transition. Attached photo of error.
lol....u have the same issue as well ? I don't see anyone really discussing it nor do I see it in video uploads of night racing......Thanks for the reply
Yea I remember this issue in PC2 as well. I came up with a solution of just racing daytime....lol that patch of shadow is a bummer.
yes i get it too along with the low illumination from headlights makes it hard to night race for any length of time.I just go into 1 hour game time for night, that's about all i can stand. Maybe one day...?
We were getting these tonight at Monaco tonight, felt very weird coming into the tunnel then having to drive through them.
I think I may have found a fix for the shadow patches shown during night races. I ran a practice session at Daytona 20:00 PM and shadow patches appeared. Turned down the shadow settings in performance and all gone, still testing.
Started with them completely off and the only noticeable thing I saw was in a replay it appeared as if no shadow was under the car, didn't notice this when playing from cockpit & bumper view on other cars, only in replay. So I turned the shader setting up one level being low. Everything looked fine, no shadow patches but this may be a false finding as I haven't tried on Long Beach, Spa or Cleveland night. Will though in about 30mins.
