Don't know if there is/will be official mod support with a DS. Was trying a livery mod pack with a friend on my DS today and found out this (as the liveries are in fact local) works for the most part just fine. The thing we noticed is that the lobby host cannot see other players cars (can see AI though). We double checked this by the host leaving the server and rejoining, after this the situation was reversed where the 'new' host could not see the 'old' rejoined host's car...

you mix something up. You'll have to go once to the pit, to see players that entered after you. This is a feature to not have lags and stutters when other ppl enter the server and your PC has to load the liveries.
On the other side, you'll only see the samel liveries, when all on the server have the same pack. Because MP session transferes only the livery ID, not the livery itself. So everybody sees, what he has installed locally.

Ah thx, didn't know that one! Will test :). Usually we all enter same time so coincidence with the livery test.

So we ran a multiclass race with 2 cars Merc 190E and Mini JCW on our DS last night. Ran into an weird issue, one of the cars (Mini Cooper JCW's) pit limiter didn't work during the race. Anyone else see this happen during multiclass races?

Ahh yes, thanks, I didn't notice they're all dedi servers.

We're still having a couple of people say that using the sportsplay links and/or steam launch options isn't working for them and they still can't see the server. I'm not 100% convinced it isn't user error though.

I have the *.json files within the server directory but they seem incomplete ie in Class there is no GT3

We don't distribute those files in the package so they are likely saved by a human or external tool. You can always get the latest lists (and save the to disk if desired) by running the server and visiting the following urls.

    Code:
    http://localhost:9000/api/list/tracks
    http://localhost:9000/api/list/vehicles
    http://localhost:9000/api/list/vehicle_classes

Those links assume you have http api enabled and the http port set to the default 9000 in the config.

If you don't have GT3 there after checking those that indicates the server is not up to date and will need to be updated through steamcmd

    Hi there,

maybe someone in this forum can help me.
I installed a AMS2 DS on a hosted cloud Server on Windows. At the moment i have the problem that only 16 drivers can join the race.

I think i read all the posts in the forum with this topic and configured the following at the moment:

    - server.cfg
    ...
    maxPlayerCount: 64
    ...
    "GridSize" : 24,
    "MaxPlayers" : 24,

    - I disabled "sms_rotate"

    - Server OS is x64

And of course i'm aware that some tracks had grid size limitations.

But for example on Nordschleife 2020 the 17th driver cannot join the server an even cannot view the race.

    Any suggestions?

    server controlled or player controlled.
If player then check the session settings when creating a session

    controlGameSetup : false
    So player controlled.

But as the first player joining our server i can't see a grid size option in the session settings.

i think you just doubleclick your server in the browser and connect.
In this case 1 see also 24max and 6AI, so just YOU, 17 players and 6AI
Use the "selectDS" method, then you are able to set the opponent setings you like (no AI)

Yes till now i used the "server browser doubleclick" method.
I will test it with the "selectDS" method. This sounds very good.

    Thank you in advance
