From the latest driver update, v. 511.23

"We have added Freestyle and Ansel support for 24 games with the latest Game Ready Driver including... Automobilista 2."

    Plus:

"NVIDIA DLSS is our award-winning AI-powered technology that delivers big performance boosts with maximum image quality in over 100 games. For games and GPUs that don’t support NVIDIA DLSS, we’ve updated our image sharpening feature, NVIDIA’s spatial upscaler and sharpener located in the Control Panel, with an enhanced algorithm and made it easily accessible through GeForce Experience."

    Also:

"GeForce Experience now supports screenshot capture for NVIDIA resolution scaling features like Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) and Image Sharpening. Simply hit [Alt+F1] to capture the final upscaled or downscaled image."

I have no idea what any of that means but it sounds good. :)

I was just about to ask :D

DLSS I only know from ACC and it blows there. DLSS off with resolution upscaling looks way better, but this could be due to Unreal Engine 4.

That's great... I will be able to finally reduce the overall color saturation to be less intense and more photoreal (like many re-shaders out there for AC).

Out of curosity.....where did you find the info on AMS2 being supported? is this coming or currently supported with 511.23?
I read through the notes and most of missed it as I didn't see any mention....when I clicked on all the supported titles for Ansel and freestyle AMS2 was not listed?

the link below is from the 511.23 release notes which shows all the supported games for nvidia software

Supported Games | GeForce Experience (nvidia.com)

It was in the GeForce UI when announcing 511.23 but now that I've installed the driver that text has disappeared. After a search, it appears that it was added via GeForce Experience v3.24 although the driver notes said nothing about that.

    AMS2 is mentioned here.

Hoping Freestyle is added to AMS2 as official reshade support being added. This is different to the regular Nvidia filters than can be used in any game.
    • SSRTGI (Screen Space Ray Traced Global Illumination), commonly known as the “Ray Tracing ReShade Filter” enhances lighting and shadows of your favorite titles to create a greater sense of depth and realism.
    • SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion) emphasizes the appearance of shadows near the intersections of 3D objects, especially within dimly lit/indoor environments.
    • Dynamic DOF (Depth of Field) applies bokeh-style blur based on the proximity of objects within the scene giving your game a more cinematic suspenseful feel.

    • Does this open Freestyle option?

    • You can already do this with the Nvidia filters which are very extensive. Although it doesn’t have the same pre-sets as Freestyle.

Yes, as long as you have enabled beta features on the nVidia Experience app

To be clear, I don't think we will get those new features out of the box... I believe the app needs to be coded to leverage those... but I really hope that I'm wrong. Getting Global Illumination or Ambient Occlusion would make the cockpit view way more realistic.

I know I will be trying those tonight!

Will these features only be available to RTX cards or GTX as well?
I'm currently kinda in the middle with a GTX 1660 ti which uses Turning, in the past I've had access to a couple of rtx features like the VRSS before they removed it.

Edit: I tried enabling the filters in iracing which is supported, but it just kept saying an error occured....I'll assume some of those features are just for RTX cards...I also tried the image upscaling and it looked terrible.

Can confirm it works on AMS2, but not on the Beta. Can also confirm that there aren't any filters I'd want to use, but that's my personal preference - it is a nice system tho and if there was a way to insert personal reshade .ini files I'd use it and get rid of reshade itself.

@Gevatter What exactly is working? the ALT-F3 filter or the SSRTGI or SSAO? ALT-F3 filters work really well, but I cannot find one that slightly desaturate :(

I got it to work in AMS2 but not in iracing.
It just had some basic filter but these two SSRTGI or SSAO were not listed

SSRTGI and SSAO are not "image filters" in the traditional sense but specific shaders. Those are a way to compute light bounce around objects. Most likely, the game engine as to have specific support for those rendering type options. The level of realism would jump quite a bit for cockpit views if SSRTGI or SSAO would be supported (along with raytraced shadows).

Actually, I just found this!! Going to try it now...

Enable SSRTGI and SSAO in unsupported games (NVIDIA Freestyle Ray Tracing) - YouTube

Actually, I was wrong, there is a way to remove a few points of saturation... it's under Color / Vibrance. It will make AMS2 look more natural, and no need for reshade typpe stuff.

Wasn't able to find SSAO or SSRTGI yet... but I have not renamed the .exe yet.

OK, I did rename the AMS2AVX.exe and no luck. I cannot get the SSAO or SSRTGI to appear :( Very sad, it would make a really nice difference.

I’ve found the best way to desaturate the image is using the Sepia filter under SpecialFX. 20% works for me. But that will be down to your monitor and if it’s HDR. No other filters used.

Retro is also an interesting filter. Can get that ‘70’s/‘80’s look. Although it also distorts the image like an old CRT monitor.

BTW, I was under the impression Freestyle was an entirely different feature set to the regular filters. But it’s all part of the same thing. However a game needs to support Freestyle to use SSAO & SSRTGI.

Hopefully Freestyle is coming to AMS2 as Nvidia patch notes claim. It’s a great way to add new graphical features to an older engine. @Renato Simioni

All those filters you will implement are next to TV-image but not RL- image. Visit a race-weekend in RL and see the expressional car colors
you will be „shocked“ how intensive those colors are.
