Very often, but not always, while braking hard the shortest gear (typically 2nd / 3rd) does not enter. If I downshift slowly everything is ok
Maybe something prevents the gear to get in. GT1 cars need manual throttle blips for downshifts, they have no electronic aid for that. They're stick shifter cars with auto cut-off for upshifts, but no downshift assistance, so apply some throttle for the downshift and it might get in better.
It's not a problem, it's how these cars work. rFactor 2 has no drivetrain modelling. Apart from a handful of mods you can flatshift anything anytime, even vintage manual cars.
You are right - or more correct its how Reiza has decided to implement some kind of downshift prevention/lock. Personally I feel its irritating - but it is probably somewhat realistic. The reason its worst when shifting down into the lower gears is because here the difference between different gear cog wheels are larger. ByTheWay: One of the reasons I consider it irritating is because you can also find this shift down lock working (delaying) in newer formula cars like the US-Carts and F-Reiza. Where I think(??) the gearbox simulated have double clutch shifting.
You are probably right - thats also the reason I use the auto-blip thing. ByTheWay: My old Toyota road car is able to shift down faster. Even without auto-blip
