thanks for sharing as I also have a TSPC wheel

what do you do in TM new control panel now we have this Boost option because I am still unsure what’s the merit of this feature and to adjust other variables now like damper spring etc
I have personally everything at 100%
    Thanks a lot

This is a response I would like to hear from the developers.
I've asked this several times and have received polar opposite responses....a couple of members hearsay 0 spring and damper in the TM profile, the majority of youtube videos say 100%
Go the medium route of 50%.....I have no idea? lol

As for the Boost option, I've found increased detail with it enabled but you have to greatly reduce the in-game FFB strength or it will just feel heavy and drown out the details.

I'm TS-PC user with latest Kuku 5.0.1 custom filre where damper slider is damping.
Reiza developers said at least about Damper that you should use in game damping and turn to 0 in TM control panel. For Spring, IMO and what I use is 0 in TM cp, specially with Boost mode. It might be my mind playing tricks but I think it induces less clipping for me (though lot of people have made tests turning Spring to 0 and 100 back and forth and say there is no difference).

Regarding the Boost, I didn't like it when I first tried it, neither in AMS2, ACC nor F1 2021. I felt like it just made wheel harder to turn, no matter how much I decreased in-game gain. I believe then I had all sliders at 100 in TM cp. After few weeks and reading some positive user reviews, I thought I will give Boost another chance. And now I have to say I like it, 0 Spring and 0 Damper in AMS2 and F1 2021, 0 Spring and 100 Damper in ACC. In-game gain around 30-40%.

You caught me, didn't know about the new driver version.

Installed and left BOOST = OFF (default).
I want the game to control the wheel, not the wheel's driver.
The other parameters are set to 100%, but I guess modern sims don't use those - they send direct orders to the wheel's required position, the driver just obeys.

The parameters have sensible names, we adjust them at will.
    My ingame paramerts are:

    100
    30
    60
    0

My most recent changes (with comment #JP):
    #(exaggerate_front_load_feel 0.13)
    (exaggerate_front_load_feel 0.50) #JP

    ###########################################################
    #
    # Road features settings
    #

    (texture_scale 0.9)
    #(micro_bumps_scale 0.375)
    (micro_bumps_scale 0.050) #JP
    #(micro_bumps_smooth 0.008)
    (micro_bumps_smooth 0.001) #JP
    #(kerbs_surface_scale 3.5)
    (kerbs_surface_scale 4.5) #JP
    (kerbs_surface_smooth 0.03)
(kerb_bump_scale 2.8) #How big the tall curb bumps are.
#(large_track_bump_scale 0.05) #how much bumps on the track are felt.
    (large_track_bump_scale 0.60) #JP
(large_offroad_bump_scale 0.05) #how much bumps off the track are felt.

About BOOST: keep in mind it introduces a post-curve to FFB forces so, in game parameters and custom files will have different effects than the intended one.
Without testing, perhaps a logarithmic curve, something like like Low Force Boost in AMS2.

You are correct. I forgot to add in my post that also I reduced LFB from 15 to 5 when using Boost. Probably even 0 was ok, I think.

In ACC, min. force, which does not work exactly the same way, but is still meant for low forces, should to be turned to 0. Without Boost I used 1 or 2% with TS-PC. Sorry for talking about other games a lot but this Boost feature has had very little discussions in forums so when the topic was raised I wanted to give all the experience that I have.

My experience with TM TX is that BOOST introduces a huge amount of gain that could be offset reducing ingame GAIN. That's all for me. Not sure if it affect significantly other parameters.

Other than that, setting up a true default at Control Panel gives a mild response than setting default + zero Spring & Damper. And relatively it is much more reduced using BOOST than without.

    Using ffb_custom_settings: rFuktor 5.0.1 Danielkart tune kuku tweak (#4260 @ 01-16-2022)

Is there a way to log the ffb signal to a text file, like we can do in rFactor 2 + motec?

Been away for awhile and trying to play catch up. I have T300 and I'm interested in SilverRaw rFuktor again, but I was used to seeing different levels of it depending on type of wheel you had. Looks like there is only 1 file now for all wheel bases?... is that correct? If not, I'm trying to understand what's the good starting point now for a T300?

    Thanks,
    Doug

    Quick test..
    feels good , nice work.
i’m still a fan of 5.0.1 as a base to tune from and haven’t been tweaking much lately, but have been trying some similar changes with static force etc.

Just a quick question. Did you mean to leave that last line out? All the rest had both Left and Right but the last pair only had Left. I put it in. Don't know if it makes a lot of difference.

    (left_bump (* 0.002 (- FL_load (smooth FL_load 0.015))))
    (right_bump (* 0.002 (- FR_load (smooth FR_load 0.015))))
    (left_bump_pos left_bump_pos)
    (right_bump_pos right_bump_pos)
    (left_bump_pos (+ left_bump_pos (* (- left_bump left_bump_pos) (power 0.001 dt))))
    (right_bump_pos (+ right_bump_pos (* (- right_bump right_bump_pos) (power 0.001 dt))))
    (left_bump_pos (max left_bump_pos left_bump))
    (right_bump_pos (max right_bump_pos right_bump))

Yes i think he just needs to amend his base file. . i’ve not noticed a big difference if it’s in or out. but it’s always good to have corrected before it gets duplicated.

With this file, Damping Slider is actually Damping, is that correct? And Power Steering is done in the file itself? What does Power Steering Angle do? Thanks guys.

Hi, I just got the game, I have a T150. Is the rFuktor 5.0.3 good for it, or should I switch to Default+ or Default. I installed one of the custom files, but I'm having problems with the FFB, namely that I can't get a good sense of grip in the medium and low speed corners, and I can't make out whether the car is sliding.
    https://www.briankoponen.com/automobilista-2-thrustmaster-tmx-t150-settings/
I referred to the above guide initially while setting up my FFB
    I'm currently using rFuktor 4.6 Delta S

Thanks for the reply. And what does the Power_Steering_Angle do?
