    Hey guys,

Fitted 4 bass shakers to my rig the other day. Fired up assetto corsa & wow, love the wheel slip feeling but...

Turned on AMS2 last night & have spent all day dabbling & I will be darned if I can get wheel slip working, well anywhere near correctly. If I play with gains etc I can get it to give me a muted slip feeling, but if I over brake, or even get a little squirrely mid bend, the think shakes it head off. Its almost like acceleration slip is muted, whereas a mid bend slide is exaggerated, I just cannot find any happy medium :)

    I am running 4 Aurasound AST-2b-2's

Sorry for swearing saying Assetto at the beginning of this post lol

Have any of you guys got any profiles I can try please?

    Cheers, me!

I only use two shakers with SimHub but wheel slip works fine for me. Have you tried turning off everything but wheel slip? Then you can take something rear drive that looses traction quickly out and just dump the clutch and you should feel or see something in the Live effects.

I have the experience that traction control kicking in cannot be picked up for AMS2 with simhub at the moment. With some other sims the TC signal is broadcasted (or picked up) and one gets this additional info when accelerating. Maybe it's related to this - I know, not exactly wheel slip ...

Update, 07.02.2022: Traction control signal is send by AMS2 and received via simhub. Realy nice, going up the hill in Bathurst I realized how often the TC is actually activated :)

That sounds like it, Simhub calls it wheel slip, but normal folk call it traction loss. I can wind it up to give a slight Traction loss, but this becomes waaaay too much when you get lift off traction loss mid corner wheel.

Sounds like an ongoing thing with AMS2 then :-( Shame as it feels good apart from that

Traction loss works when you set off like you mentioned, or spinning out on grass etc, it just doesn't give any indication mid bend at speed if the back end starts to break away, with AC it is spot on, as soon as the back end gets loose it starts to chatter

I would maybe play with the different frequency's for base effect and high effect because what you said is working fine for me with SimHub on my two shakers. Although I do not use traction control or ABS at all on any car in any condition which might be the difference? I don't know because I don't use the TC Active or ABS Active effects in SimHub. I get lockup with the "Wheels Lock" effect and grip loss with the "Wheel Slip" effect which gives me all of the info I need to match my eyes in VR along with the sound from the tires and the feel on my wheel with the FFB.

I get the wheel slip effect mid corner all the time if I use the throttle too much or if I'm going a bit too fast and the tires are scrubbing. I get wheel slip on the front if the front tires are plowing/scrubbing mid corner and this wheel slip ranges from low when it starts to much higher and more forceful the more the front tires are plowing/scrubbing. The front wheel slip scrubbing also matches the FFB in my wheel which is awesome for immersion in VR. I also get the same thing on the rear tires if they loose grip and start scrubbing. The rear wheel slip effect ranges with the rear wheels as well from low to high depending on the grip loose.

Also to add to my post above under Calibration I have the slider all the way to the left for "Predefined calibration".

You can play with that slider a bit and see where it works best for you.
For me on my setup when it was in the middle or more to the right for "Automatic calibration" then the "Wheel Slip" effect would trigger my shakers for just driving down the road making that effect far too sensitive.

Any chance you can grab a screen shot of your settings please? Been having another go tonight & I can get plenty (too much) lift off or braking wheel slip, but still very very limited under power wheel slip

I don't think I have anything special setup or done the correct way as I just fumbled my way through the setup.

This is what works for me on my rig so it also might not work for you. I also have my buttkicker attached to the springs of my seat so it's very easy to feel things.
