Low cockpit sound

I have the feeling that the sound of the car's engine is heard very low from inside the cockpit. It is normal?

 

For road cars such as the VW TSI cars or the Camaro SS, this is normal. But some racing cars also have a low engine sound in the cockpit, such as the Corvette C8.R
