Wow, 90 GAIN is pretty high.

I change mine to the following:
Gain 50 (I reduce to this to 50 to prevent the wheel from oscillating a bit)
LFB 100 (This let me feel all the texture on the road when I corner but cause wheel to oscillate more)
FX 10 (this has got to be low because if i set it to high, it started to sort of skip the pavement when turning corner, increasing LFB will give it a smooth turning and you really feel the texture of the pavement)
Damping 100 (this also feel great at 100)

So far, I feel good about this set up and really give a presence of sitting in a real car driving because you feel the weight shifting as you turn, bump onto another car or sliding. I don't know about what anybody have in their setups but it just feel real when playing on a motion rig with all these feedbacks and also w/ motion compensation on. It's true presence especially in VR.

    @Karsten Hvidberg @Shadak @Panos Schoino @Peter Stefani @Danielkart @Stakanov

while looking to amend my archives for new (dt(/1 300)), I got a little carried away as I do  and started tweaking the 4.6-5.0 evo hybrid tune and may have discovered the cause of the oscillation's.

those files were not producing oscillation's until I started to bring more values in line with rFuktor5.0++.
This lead to the realization that the high understeer_scale is the biggest influence on the oscillation's.

in older files like 4.6 this was very low, and simply raising the scale values to match 5.0+ introduces oscillation, then doing the opposite to 5.0+ by reducing the value drastically reduces the oscillation.

Now the problem is, that these higher understeer scale values are needed to give the fantastic steering feel and weight to the 5.0++ files...
With low values its rather lacking..:(
But hopefully this may help give a target to focus on for a workaround .:)

    As a follow up
I found that in the Evo hybrid tune file, the way that its set up with older oversteer/understeer code.
That adding in a decent amount of relax to the understeer takes a lot of the harshness out of the oscillations .
so maybe that's something to consider.
Here's a bit of a WIP of said tune, which I'm quite enjoying again after bring even closer to 5.0.1 its the Alt scrub file so less harsh of course, but I will sort out the others in the next day or so.

Sorry guys but its undrivable again no matter what gain, ffb strength, interpolation, damping I use the wheel sees every bump as a massive crater, braking is gonna rip my hands off and its just feels like full ffb then no ffb then full ffb! I dont really want use the custom file route but looks like im going to have too!

    Hey Karsten
Where does the value come from dt 0.0033333333? Does the value have a tolerance for dd1 ? Perhaps 0.004
    Many thanks Daniel

It's the value that "dt" has been assigned by the game engine until this recent patch. So every file is tuned for that. But if it feels better to you on your wheel base to set it at a different value there's nothing wrong with that.

So I went with ---- Silver Raw rFuktor 5.0.1.x ---- and im back in my happy place the cars now feel like the feedback is coming from the tyre and not some physics applied to a wheel, the feel of weight moving forward under braking and the load in the tyre when cornering are like any other sim! Reiza you need to bin off your FFB because whoever done this has put you to shame and dont change the FFB anymore! Tand your a genius whoever made that custom file!

Looking at your settings you could try lower gain in-game and higher ffb strength in fanatec settings for a higher degree of variation in the ffb produced.
Not that anything is wrong either way.

    Best,

@Karsten Hvidberg those were the wrong settings I hadn't saved back from the fanatec base those were from when I was experimenting ! I will take your advice on the ffb settings as they are the same!

So up until 4.6 there were different settings for different wheels. Now there is only one. With a T300 should I stick with the 4.6 setting for the T300?

Thank you for the info Karsten. I changed it yesterday but I felt like not every file was changed. I will test it again more carefully. Your ffb file is excellent

You were right it changes everything in the file. I have it on 0.004 gives less vibration
    Thank you

So, I've spent a couple of days with custom files, and I believe I've found the best setting I've ever felt in any game. This is Allergunners file, with the no oscillation fix.. Unless AMS does anything funny to the way FFB works, I have, as far as I am concerned, found the final solution to what I have been looking for in FFB Realism. I've been sim racing for 15 years, and this is it.
I have fanatec equipment, and have csw 2.5, DD2 and CSL DD running.
This file works great with all of them.

Please try this one out, I can't find anything I would like to change or improve!

    My in game settings are:
Gain 75, LFB 5, FX 40, damping (aka servo): 20.
For CSW 2.5 driver settings (434, latest driver):
Sens: auto, FFB 100, DPI: OFF, FEI 70, FOR 100.

For CSL DD: SEN auto, FFB 100, FFS PEAK, NDP 25, NFR OFF, NIN Off, INT 4, FEI 80 FOR 100-120. (rest not applicable)
    Try it and be amazed!

Ive gone through my tune archives and updated everything for post 1.3.3 , with (dt ( / 1 300))

Have also upgraded the rFuktor 4.6-5.0 hybrid files to current spec, and added a couple of variations , including a rfuktor 5.0.1 Alt Scrub file.

I have a real hard time choosing between the hybrid and 5.0.1 especially with Alt scrub as my preference.

Very good Kuku. I will try your files. But I think our bases are too different, there will always be differences. I will test with yaw and slip. Have you ever zed with thes values? beautiful day

You will probably only be interested in the 5.0.1 Alt scrub, it’s got a bit of extra edge in tire feel.

I haven’t messed with slip values for along time.
But there’s possibly a minor improvement around the edge of grip that could be found in 5.0.1 as it does hold a bit when when perhaps there’s a point that could be a slip sensation.

    Hi Kuku
Tested their 4.6/5.01 and 5.01 alt scrub. I like 4.6/5.01 better but not perfect for the dd1 either. It will surely be perfect for you alpha. With dd1 i have little tire feeling and little road feeling, and unfortunately also oscillate more. The FWD cars are very bad to drive . Most noticeable when accelerating out of corners. I think you would have to create a file for each base. My file is optimized for the dd1 and it can be very bad for another base. Thank you for sharing the file Kuku
