I'm using a Quest 2 and playing in Oculus VR mode and I've been having this issue for a while although seems to be worse after last update. My VR view is sometimes recentered randomly, sometimes it happens if I spin out, or taken out of the track but can happen on a straight as well. I noticed happening as well sometimes in the Daytona track when driving in angle and then coming back to the straight the center view would be different. I haven't noticed this with other games like Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, etc. Any idea why AMS 2 might do this? I have deactivated the recentering in the settings so it should only happen when I do it manually with the button assigned. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers
I think there has been a bug introduced over the last few updates that causes the image to constantly drift a little. The only answer I have found is to map a button for recenter and sort it on the straights.
Thanks mate, yes that's what I do but it's annoying, especially when racing multiplayer. But glad that I'm not alone, gives me hope that it will be fixed in the future.
I have had this issue for a long time. Sometimes the view will just recenter itself like 90 degrees to the right/left or up/down like 1m and I'm in driving with my face scraping on the pavement lol. I have always had the "recenter VR" button mapped to the bottom button of my wheel for this. Also the "drifting" that was mentioned earlier does happen so sometimes I recenter for that. I find I recenter almost every race to account for the drift. Now the real question: is it a VR device problem or an AMS2 problem? I have no idea. I'm using the Rift S
I also have this 90 degrees changes sometimes, but not as often as the drifting. Definitely an AMS2 problem, I'd never had this issue in any of the other games, first time experiencing this was when I started playing AMS2 which is now pretty much the only game I play. Hopefully they fix it in the future. Do Reiza staff read this forum?
I have same problem. View re-adjusts itself in random direction. Sometimes side to side, sometimes down or gets further away. On occasion it will fix itself after few seconds. Other times stays like that and I have to fix it by adjusting seat position. Reverb G2
