Yes you can deactivate that addon and it should save a little perf.

These shaders do not work for me. I get the option file with CTRL-Home, and get notice if I disable with CTRL-END, but applying shaders changes nothing, graphically.

Quest 2 Headset running in Steam VR. Have tried Oculus option also.

Even with ACC the shaders work initially but then, after successive game restarts they no longer work.

    It's not worth the hassle.

I'm using @fholger 'openvr_fsr_v1.3' in AMS2, which provides great performance on my G2.
Can I also use this Reshade_VR to add 'pop' to the colors in VR, or would this cause conflicts?
    Thanks.

If you have an Nvidia RTX card, hit ALT-F3 and make your reshade filters in real time, no 3rd party plugin or install required.

On my G2 it doesn't show any difference between it installed and not... I did rename the reshade64.dll to dinput8.dll and if I tap the overlay preview I see the green or black overlay, but I see no enhancements whatsoever within that circle... in none of the presets... What am I doing wrong?

With the dinput8.zip file posted here I get the following in log file... it seems to uninstall as soon as it's done installing... even before I start racing (i.e. I am on the starting grid and go into the reshade menu)... what gives?

Use the latest reshade & toolkit version from here:
    VRToolkit

It works without issues in AMS2.

I did that and renamed to dinput8.doll but I don’t see any improvement in graphics. Shouldn’t it be sharpening too?

what prefix do I use with g2 ?
It did not generate the dinput8_amsavx.log file
I can see the mask if I toggle it but that’s it.

Did you test a few of the presets through while in the car cockpit? There are 4 to choose from. The ones with the + have heavier sharpening.

If you see the mask then it is working but the sharpening might be to low for the G2 when you go for a huge resolution. You can either lower the resolution (better perf) or adjust the sharpening values of the preset until you like them.

I’ll give it another try. I did notice that the performance compared to fsr is horrible so I may lower the resolution a bit.

I also for some reason did not manage to switch on the antialiasing. Whenever I change the 0 to a 1 then it changes back to zero.

is there actually a doc or settings somewhere for a G2 with 3080ti on AMS2 with this vrtoolkit plug in? I’d like to be able to race in the rain without reprojection but still clear obviously.

As the resolution of the G2 is pretty high i would try to set the res at 75% and set the ingame MSAA to Medium. The Antialiasing is experimental on the VRtookit and actually does not look good in VR. I would avoid to use that. If you want to try it though the setting will stick if you press the enter key on the virtual keyboard. Before hitting the "ok/done" button.

To improve the performance for AMS2 you can lower a few settings. AMS2 still will look pretty good even with many things set to low & off. Even shadows you can set to OFF and the cars will still have occluding shadows under them so they will not look as if they would float.

Thanks for all the tips. I have gotten it to work but I have to set the effective resolution to about 50% to have at least some performance left for rain and sunset racing but I am a bit disappointed after spending so much $$ on a 3080ti to still have horrible performance or bad graphics. If only we could reduce the field of view like on the quest 2 (fov tangent multiplier) so the cards have less pixels to render but what is left over is super sharp. Reducing it in steam instantly makes the HP reverb go cross eyed.
