Automobilista v1.2.1 & Formula Truck DLC RELEASED!

Just select "All Cars / Tracks" in the menu, not FTruck. That way you can race them on everything! Works for RX, Supertrucks, etc as well.

I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, just curious is all. Hadn't ever noticed an answer just the complaints. Not quite curious enough to go spelunking through your posts though.

To each their own, but they really have absolutely zero affect on the game or gameplay and lots of folks like them for some reason. Them existing doesn't mean you have to attempt or acknowledge them. There's no rule you have to get a trophy because its there.

Also, you can turn Steam Overlay off if them popping up is why you don't like them. Only reason I can fathom. Just right click your game in Steam and go to Properties then uncheck the box that says 'Enable the Steam Overlay in game'.

Why are achievements so important for some people and for me?
The answer is simple:
AMS is like all the other sims a sandbox thing. A great simulation of driving/racing, but where is the game?
You get cars and tracks and even predefined championships, but the sim does not trace any progres. You can win a championship and get exactly zero for it. You can't even see it in any place, you can only note it by yourself on a piece of paper...

For pure offliners who have in their real live work, family and other stuff to do, it's a good thing to have at least achievements that record any progres they made in the evening after a hard working day.

Some people are very skilled, have lots of sparetime and get their satisfaction by racing online. They do not need any offline gaming stuff.
But as achievements do not hurt anybody they can be a great tool to lift up a sandbox thing into a game.

 

Indeed, and some more options to turn the sandbox into a game

• Ghost-car with the option to compete against other timed laps form the leaderboards
  
• A fixed deltabar for multi and SINGLE-player
• official servers with a Schedule and a queue so you have the option to plan a race without the need to join a leaque

 

Great work guys. I'm away at the moment so not had a chance to test the changes but I like what I'm reading a lot.

Especially fascinated at the tweaks to the Boxer, the V8's and the Copa Montana.

Wow, formula dirt is great fun! It's a handful but so satisfying to throw it around the track. Ftrucks I already drived in beta but great to get them updated to AMS goodies.

After clicking OK, the second comes up



Same issue with AMS and AMS Beta. While waiting for the config window, the pc is nearly freezed, almost reacting very slow.

ive been enjoying the cars and tracks coming out for Automobilista, got home from work today, booted pc as usual, got the 1.20 update downloaded and installed, went to run the game via STEAM and now i get an error message dialogue box.......

Failed to start game (invalid platform)


anybody care to explain,

(ps, i have nascar heat Evolution, GTR, GTR2, Assetto Corsa, GRID autosport, rFactor2, GTA4 and many other games in STEAM and they run fine)

 

@Angus94 do a "Verify integrity of game cache" on AMS, maybe some files are corrupted after the update.
