Why not release AMS2 on GeForce Now? Gaming PCs are understandably hard to come by in most parts of the world but consoles still sell well. What if people could get hooked on sim racing by one of the entry level titles like GT7 or the new Forza Motorsport (or even Horizon) and then fire up AMS2 via browser for a more detailed experience? You don't even need a PC with the Xbox, you can use the built-in browser. Issues: 1. Controller implementation would need some attention 2. GeForce Now doesn't support wheels at the moment #1 is probably going to happen anyway but #2 is where we lose most forum-goers. However, maybe Reiza can get some stats on controller users from SMS for the Project CAR series. My guess is it is probably something like 90% controller and 10% wheel or less. So...that means this would make sense even if wheels don't work at the moment (and a dev probably has more weight with Nvidia than people on the Nvidia forums). Combined with constant deals for the base game (Steam, Humble Bundle, etc.) this could be a nice boost to both playercount and DLC sales for those that get hooked on AMS2. Before the pitch forks come out to chase away controller players, remember that more sales = more DLC = more licenses.
I asked Renato during the FB q/a about geforce now support, and he replied ‘not in our plans’ so I would ‘t expect it to happen.
I'm gonna be egotistical here for a moment and say that I'd rather have the game work well on PC, be feature complete and optimized before branching it out onto other platforms.
