Quick question, couldnt find an answer under search.
If i want to setup two dedicated servers on the same machine, do they both use the same steam port 8766?
I know the other ports need to be different but not sure about this one
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks.
I seem to have a problem with second server not being visible to others, although I can see it and join. Didn't know if it could be related to the steam port

You can modify running servers using the web interface (http://localhost:9000 if using the default config)

All ports should be unique accross all instances.

@Dave Stephenson Do you happen to know if something changed to the dedicated server program with the last ams2 update, since 2 or 3 weeks we are having a lot of people facing disconnection issues on our league server, we have used it with the sportsplay protocol without any issues whatsoever until the update it seems, this makes it really unreliable to run league races on it, it seems to happen more when there are like more then 4 people connected to the server at the same time, i tried moving the server to a different pc, but that did not make any difference.

i dont know if others on here experienced the same lately?

Yup exact same issue's. We had a race at Bathurst and 1/2 the field got disconnected when the session changed from ready up to race, this with 13 drivers. We restarted and everyone got in but a few had a long pause and ended up in the wall and then disco .. However a week later at Azure with 11 drivers we didn't lose anyone but 3 of the drivers had the same 2-3 sec pause = crash. This is the first time we have seen these types of issues for over a year now. We rent a server & it seems it was pretty solid up to the last patch.

yeah it seems to occur mostly when there are more people in, but during a practice session on the server a couple days ago, i got disconnected after about a or 2 minutes, we usually use emperor servers servermanager, i setup the server now without that, to see the coming week how that goes

Ok, could it be something in the game changed then, can it have something to do with the game sending out more data for telemetry?

Apparently im not the only one experiencing issues since the latest update, as @Kro has the same experience, this makes it very unreliable to run a league race on a dedicated server.

    Hello,
We have a problem with our server.
Some drivers can't find the server. We are a League and it's becoming difficult to attract people to this game.
    The open ports 8766,27015,27016
We have tried other ports but it is the same.
How can we fix this problem quickly? We have more than 20 pilots per night.
    Thanks

Well, it could be after 10 or so refreshes it starts to show, but to overcome this issue, i serup the sportsplay protocol for our league, people need to start the game with a link that includes the ip and port number of the server.

We have noticed that netcode seems to have worsened a lot of late, cars jumping all over the place. Never had this issue until recently.
Pings seem fine when looking at drivers labels, just cars moving all over the place.

Ok we didn't notice that particular issue, and the last weeks race we ran without using the emperorservers manager, just a plain ams2 dedi server, and did not experience the disconnect issues.

Probably for next season we will move to justrace.net for the league races, thats a great platform with good people running it

We run a weekly dedicated server for our leage and I see an issue hosting multiclass races. For some reason, when people 1st connect, they aren't allowed to switch classes. If everyone logs off and we change a few random settings, they can connect and change classes and cars. Has anyone seen this on their end?

No i havent, but i must admit its been a while since i run multiclass on a dedi server.

Does it show the right classes in their car selection screen? Or does that only show one class?

Only 1 class. I have all the players log off and log back into the server and change some random setting here and there and then it's fine. It's so weird.

While I'm at it, I would like to request a few multiplayer options on the DS:

    1. Allow the option to let people join after Quali and during the middle of the race.
    2. Allow proper multiclass gridding and manual grid setup options.
    3. Allow changing the timers for changing from switch from Quali to Race.
    4. Allow changing the Quali end timer.
    5. Allow changing the Race end timer.
    6. Allow custom fixed setup options, so that the Dedi Server host can force and custom tune every competitor has to use.
    7. Allow ballast penalties to individual drivers by the server host.
    8. Allow server admin to lock camera to cockpit view only.
    9. Allow cars that have returned to the pits to continue the race after repairs.
