Good morning/good evening This time I'm doing my post because frankly ams2 is very good but it's a pain for the organisers. Tonight we had a championship round in Montana on velopark. Half of the field, 23 riders, can't find the server. So we activated the sportsplay mode, to give everyone the IP and port of the server. Are you serious? We ride on rf2, acc, ac, r3e and organise events with more than 30 riders, this is the first game where you have to give this info! To pass the practice session you have to be connected to a web page, to be the server administrator you have to enter first, to put a spectator (streamer) you have to be an administrator! No livetimming to check if the pilots have trained before the race. Reiza please stop the DLC, make your game evolve, you will surely have more people and more leagues organizing. A party like this is tiring especially since the admins are driving too. Please take note of this and finish your game before putting more tracks, cars. It's a pity because we have a lot of fun on it.
Reiza have a roadmap to respect. Even if the financials are good right now, that doesn't mean they can stop bringing out revenue inducing DLC content. We've all spoken our minds about the current state of online affairs and for the most part we understand that Reiza has a plan and that online will be eventually focused on, but that for now it is what it is. The track and car designers can't stop their work. The system devs are already focusing on upcoming features and bug fixes. Stopping the DLC work isn't gonna fix things any faster.
The latest development update mentioned that Reiza has hired more developers, which is encouraging news.
Yup and that is absolutely required to advance the sim in some areas that is not just content. So, good news! Reiza was always understaffed in term of developers (working on the codebase) in my opinion.
latest update has made steps backwards in terms of multiplayer. pretty much every car is warping around. and not just back and forth like u see in AC when ping is higher or unstable but somehow the cars also warp side to side. not sure what they did but it got alot worse, this also isnt a me issue, i have asked folks i raced with if they had seen the same, also wasnt just the server since this occured on every server i had been
100% this!!! The multiplayer aspect of the game is basically rudimentary and needs a lot of work. I too am tired of seeing all the DLC and not seeing what actually matters to me get some polish. While I appreciate the content it's just not as important as a thriving MP experience to me. The MP features I requested would go a long way to make the MP experience so much better if it was added to the game.
I agree on the point, that online functionality hast to be improved. But the demand for cancelling all DLC an force MP features is absolutely unrealistic. Do you think Renato will fire all 3D artists and hire online specialists instead? Think about this.....
I think you didn't understand I'm not asking for an end to the DLC, but to the evolution of the MP. If the team is too small to make DLC and a proper MP they should focus on the MP to improve it and once done come back to the DLC. I'm not criticizing anyone and I understand the need to sell DLC to pay the developers, but at the moment with the experience our 30 pilots have on MP they are not about to buy DLC. I'm really sorry to see how the MP works on AMS2 when on AMS1 it was great and at least the admins didn't struggle like this. I'm sorry for my poor English
Well, and i think you didn't understand me too. Because the guys making the DLC at the moment are most likely NOT able to improve the online sector EVEN if they would stop working on DLC. REIZA would need NEW online specialists. BTW your english isn't that bad and im no native english speaker too. And at the point that the online sektor has to be improved to bring AMS2 a step further, i am with you.
Deepl is my friend Too bad for the MP, players might leave the game for the hassle. Hopefully reiza will improve a bit
i guess the main issue that ppl with more dlcs have is that it requires people to make, which require money to work. its understandable that they wont get rid of contracted workers if they can afford them. on the other hand the MP is pretty dead and horrible to navigate for casual "hop in and race" (tedious server finding that is avaible to join without having to wait 30min) i think alot of people would want to buy more stuff but simply dont see a reason to. ofc its a thought decision to make, but temp. getting rid or putting people on hold, to afford a freelancer that throws a better solution together, could increase dlc sales alot and therefore the staff they can afford etc etc also i think people are mad cuz we see new content on a monthly bases but multiplayer hasnt changed at all for months if not years, aspecially since multiplayer is a huge thing nowadays. (except for changing the update interval and reduced the time before the server locks u out) comparing with ACC, who output a dlcs every 6month, u can see that they have quite a different focus (and tbh u cant really add much more to the game contentwise anyways lol)
