CPU BottleNeck in Automobilista 2, i3-9100F

The title pretty much says it all. With 20 cars on the grid, I get a maximum of 55 fps, and it goes down to as much as 10 sometimes. It stutters a lot. It becomes way more stable with only 10 cars on the grid for example. I can run the F1 games pretty easily. I have the same issue on PC2 (same engine). Can anyone provide me any help?

 

I noticed same issue with my i5-9600k at 5Ghz.
However I noticed it when running on VR.

At first I was thinking my graphic card was struggeling and begin to look AT a New one.

I did some ressource monitoring and discover my CPU was having trouble

I ve since then change to a I5-12600k and no more issue.

Being that said There is some graphic options that put weight on CPU more than GPU ( like shadows)... Maybe This is a thing to investigate. If you Google this you Will find some advice on graphic option that more Belong to CPU.

RTX 580/570 4Gb, not sure entirely which one it is.

 

you have a pretty outdated gpu and wonder why its slow?

 

Im pretry sure its more of a CPU bottleneck than anything else. Since the more the cars I have the worse

 

So you can easely confirm that with some tools like PerfMonitor2 or others CPU&s monitoring sw

 

Saying that your CPU is a 4 cores and AMS2 use 4 cores as well .. no Much Room for all others processes and as your CPU Isn t a K you cannot overclock it to help a bit.

A I5-9600 with 6 Cores Will help and regarding your motherboard it could fit
