More driver animations than simple gearshifting. Some examples;

• adjusting levers for anti rollbars
• pressing buttons for things like pit limiter or wipers
• heel and toe foot animations for manual cars
• the driver's hand moves onto the gearshift knob as rpms rise like in ac (so the shift animation doesn't only initiate after the shift)

 

interesting. I want to be sure I understood correctly.
let's take the formula ultimate 2022 which includes 24 liveries in the game. If I delete 4 liveries (delete?) from my custom AI file, the Maximum number of liveries will have become 20 in the game?

 

Delete or mark them out. In fact you should delete/mark out also the car you wanna drive to avoid the double livery thing and set numbers of opponents to 19.

Open your CustomAI.xml with notepad.
Replace line: <driver livery_name="xxx #xx">
with: <driver livery_name="<!xxx #xx">

Make a backup of your file before, so you can bring it back to game folder after your race.


Edit: Not necessary anymore, no more double liveries since version 1.4.3

I tried but it doesn't work. My custom AI file isn't valid.

 

Buttons and switches lighting up in the cockpit when headlights are activated , some cars are missing these.

local yellows also please , had a race ended by a stricken car with no warning it was there.

 

Yes - it can be quite slow to do 2 laps of spa at safety pace due to 1 car spinning

 

Did you race on an oval track? If yes, you need a 2nd Ai File called F-Ultimate_Gen2_LD.xml

Just copy your F-Ultimate_Gen2.xml to desktop, rename it and copy/paste it back.

Then, you have 2 files in your folder:

F-Ultimate_Gen2.xml
F-Ultimate_Gen2_LD.xml

If you wanna mark out drivers, just do it then in
F-Ultimate_Gen2.xml, no need to do it in the one for LD.

Just gave it a try. Marked out 5 of 24 drivers, so that only the 2022 liveries were active, minus the one I choosed to drive. Worked.
You also might have a syntax error in your file.

 

Regarding the Formula V10 Gen 2, can there be an option to turn Traction Control off--a setting which also affects AI drivers? As TC was banned in F1 in 2000 but permitted from 2001 (beginning the fifth race of the season) through 2007, it would be nice to be able to simulate both eras without the AI gaining a performance advantage. Or, alternatively, include a F-V10 Gen 2b variant in the UI that comes without TC?

 

My file works fine without <!
I thought that one could reduce the number of maximum liveries displayed in the game without doing it manually.
Concretely, I turn on AMS 2, I choose a race with Formula ultimate 2022 and the game tells me that the number of maximum liveries is 20 (and not 24).

 

A feature that involved saving your favorite weather, settings to a particular car.

I would like to have a more enhanced Filter on the MP lobby like filtering on session type or which one you can actually join at the moment

 

and to turn off the movement all together i find it distracting in VR
eg hands just stay on steer wheel

 

Now that we have the weekly timed trials would be good from time to time to have bigger community events in it, for example whoever get in the top 50% times gets a inventory item on steam, even if it's a trading card. To put some feeling of competition in it or even a sense of community. This kind of thing works pretty well in ETS2 and ATS for example.

 

It’s more of “turn off” a feature. When you join the race, for 1-3 seconds the “game” controls your car, stop! On a rolling start, let them start from the pit lane or track and let the driver drive it. I know you can go one step beyond and you’ll have no control right up until it’s race time. Imagine how cool would be if the cars in this accident turn into a ball of fire. At least some big explosion (fire/smoke or both) when cluttering or sth...
