Hello, Thought I'd come back to AMS2 and see if things got any better with this update. I decided to try out my favorite car: the F-V12. However, when I went to pull out of the pits, I couldn't shift to 1st! So I rebound my paddle shifters, but no luck. I then tried my H-pattern, and it shifted into 1st!? As far as I remember, the F-V12 is a semiauto sequential. So I drove a few laps, shifting old-style, but it just didn't feel the same. Next, I tried out the 2022 Formula Ultimate. Same deal-- the paddles didn't work, but the H-pattern did. What's going on? Have I missed a new setting? Autoclutch is set to OFF in the settings for me, but that shouldn't make every car an H-pattern.
have you tried reinstalling the wheel software and deleting the controller settings save file in the ams2 documents folder?
I actually thought of that, but since this is a fresh install of Windows, Steam, and AMS2 on a new computer, I didn't think that was necessary. However, deleting the "default.controllersettings.v1.03.sav" seems to have brought back semiauto gearboxes! Thanks for the reminder, I should have provided more info. ...not to be rude, but shouldn't Reiza have incremented that version number and updated that file to fix that bug if this is a known issue with v1.4?
Yep, that implies that they have the ability to modify and upgrade that system. If pre-1.4 controller setups on 1.4 are known to be broken like this, why wasn't there a disclaimer about deleting this file (or was there), or why did the game not do it itself?
