Edited assignments not working

So at the moment due to an injury my right arm is in a sling and i have months off work. I have a WRC wheel on a Fanatec CSL DD. I want to set up a profile where the upshift of gears goes from my right shifter to a button on the left side of the wheel. I've done it successfully on Assetto Corsa but not working on AMS2. It says the correct button is assigned but when the game is on the right paddle continues to be the only way to upshift. I have tried resetting the integrity of the files and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Please help

 

delete the controler profile save in ams2 documents

 

reassignment of some bottons like paddles on preconfigured wheels does not work.
Try custom instead of Fanatec

 

I did see someone do a video on a similar issue so ill try that first

 

Yep that worked thanks Wolfgang. Had to do a couple of calibration attempts but got it eventually.
