Ok, so something strange has happened. I've been using a fanatec csw v2.5 for about two years and it has always worked perfectly with AMS. Today, it suddenly stopped working properly. The steering wheel does not work when entering any session. The controls within the main menu work fine, until I enter a session. At this point the entire steering wheel becomes unresponsive and the controls for the menus also stop working. I checked the inputs in the control panel and other games (ACC and beamng). Everything works fine here, so it's definitely an AMS related issue. I've also noticed that I cannot calibrate the steering wheel. The steering value stays at zero. This does not disable the menu controling buttons. I'm kind of puzzled as to what is going wrong. Everything works as intended, until I open AMS. I did not change anything on my wheel settings since the last time I played. AMS also hasn't downloaded anything either, so the software is still the same. Has anyone encountered something similar? And did you manage to fix it?
The fresh profile worked. What is still strange to me, is that I copied my save game data back to the document folder and it still worked. Not really sure what went wrong here, but very glad that it is fixed.
