Hi everyone, I'm new to AMS2. I own a Simagic Alpha mini DD and I have a weird fbb with some cars, especially stock cars. The sensation when turning the steering wheel is as if something rubs against it, even when the car is stationary. You can hear the sound the base makes. I have tried the famous custom_fbb that is out there, and although the problem seems to disappear almost completely, I prefer the original fbb of the game, since it gives me a better feeling. Comment that this has not happened to me in any other simulator. Is there any way to solve this? Thanks.
I have the same issue on my Fanatec CSW 2.5. It's a sort of grainy/grindy feel that's very distracting. A pity, since the stock cars are some of my favorite to drive. Doesn't happen on any other cars that I have tried so far. Seems to be an issue with the Stock cars only. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?
It started with the tire carcass adjustments before v1.4 release, some cars picked up that grainy feeling. THF, it was worse in the beginning in beta and got better over time as some dynamic filtering was applied, at least to the V10G2. It also depends on the track you use of course, some are smoother than others. I still had to add a lot of filtering to my FFB sadly. The Copa Montana has a very similar feeling to the Stock Cars, probably uses the same tires or at least very similar ones. I brought it up a few times in the different release threads over the months, but it doesn't seem to be an easy thing to iron out.
I tried a few models stockcar and for me the FFB is okay, I luckily still can feel the engine vibrations, the curbs and the road surface and the difference between different pavements, Although I think they are tuned back a little over the last updates, for some cars the feeling seem to be tuned back to much (F-Trainer Advance) and feel a little disconnected (to little road surface feel) this, In combination with the reduced bumps of some tracks, brings me in a FFB profile where I start increasing the FX, I am on 55 now. I am not sure if that is the correct slider because it doesn't do any revolutionary things. I stay on 55 for a while because not all cars have the same roadfeel, but like I said the Stockcars, I tested, are fine for me
I'm getting this grainy feeling with most cars now in AMS 2. I use Fanatec DD1 and use the "Default" ffb option in game. Gain is 60 and FX is 0. It feels as if I'm driving over a rippled surface. Is there anyway to get rid of this?
I use Default FFB with the recommended settings and made some small personal adjustments. They provide me with an entertaining and informative FFB feeling Automobilista 2 V1.4 Force Feedback Overview & Recommendations
