I have had this issue more than several times over the past 5 months or so during online races that require or warrant a pitstop I've searched and people often just solve it by sleecting appropriate strat etc but i always do that. Ever since it happened the first time, I have always have my strat selected before the race. Then when i request pitstop, i open the ingame Car Menu to make sure the right strat is selected and check that the tires are correct. Then i would say maybe 10% of the time or more the tires do not change, no Bar animation, no pit crew animation. Fuel and Damage is repaired perfectly fine. Today it just happened i was literally sitting there with the ICM open with the strat and info all selected correctly. i had made adjustments to it during the race before requesting pit so i definitely had it selecctedcorrectly on pressing the request pit button. (this is irrelevant as when it happened in the past, i did not make adjustments to the strategy anyway), I opened the ICM as i entered the pitlane and then watched in disbelief as the tires were skipped. I then go out and repeat pitstop request, not having changed anything and go into pits the next lap and only then do they change my tires... I feel this is a really game breaking bug for online races that are longer and a bit infuriating if you spend a lot of time during endurance race to have it happen. Some people havent had it but i personally know of another who has had the same problem before in the races i was in. I feel this issue is more widespread, as people usually just say "select the pit strategy before the race" etc (of course that is a good solution for those who arent), so some may think it was their error Another thing: Crew chief tells me i have Brake Damage and that is an option to repair in the pits, why is there no brake damage in the HUD that we can see? Yet crew chief can tell me if i have some. This is also a bit race breaking as if you have damage repair to ALL or brake selected, it adds additonal 20 seconds or something to your pitstop and you wouldnt want that to happen if only small number of laps left in the race. Today i had repairs on ALL and i had some brake damaage from crew chief, it took a long time to repair and it skipped my tires that only had 25% wear remaining I went out and felt i had more grip on braking, FFB felt different which maybe other hidden repairs that i also cannot see. I thought: "maybeb tires were repaired but the bug is that it doesnt show on the HUD". I was able to push harder than before pitstop. I then preceded to lock tires and end my race in a big crash downhill in the second lap after the pit. So i am pretty sure the tires were still worn and i crashed because i stayed out thinking they were actually changed. To make sure, I tried a test day with the same tires and car and normal conditions and am certain that tires were not replaced. I had way more grip and could take turns full throttle that i couldnt in the race out of pits. Is Reiza aware of this? i am on RC when it happened today. It has happened before too in past months as i said earlier.
Reiza is aware people are having problems with Tire-changes in pit-stops. I don't know if they can reproduce it, which is necessary to be able to resolve the problem. I can't either, I just did about 10 pitstops in 3 races with the F-Classic on Brasilia Outer, and all did goos like I planned in my strategy, or changed during the race This is what I did, and changed during the races Define different strategies with different repair options in setup-menu Select the bests Strategy (from predefined) before the race Change amount of fuel in ICM during race Change the tires to be fitted in ICM during race Choose other strategy in ICM (never default) Never us default in ICM Don't change repair options in ICM (Choose a different predefined one with different repair options) Use button to pit or Not I never had a failed tire-change Can you reproduce? or feels it happening at random to you?
I changed the fuel and also changed repair strategy in the most recent race yday where it failed. I changed repair option before and after requesting pit I think. A non-default strat was always selected from the beginning of the race and Strat name never changed interestingly, once I changed repair from custom to “all” I could no longer change back to custom. I think I changed repairs to “all” before I requested the pit stop too and remember not being able to go back to my custom repair strat on my pit lap. My specific pit strat name was still selected and there was a custom repair I already made, so it should have been there Yes it’s annoying that I do not know how to reproduce it, but good that it’s a known issue
