Hi! I'm new to AMS2 and I'm planning to do F1 racing primarily. I have a Fanatec rig with the podium advanced paddle module which has a dual analog clutch. I tried following the below video to set up the clutch bite-point since this is how it works in iRacing. However, when I release the right paddle (and still holding the left paddle) the car just does a little jump forward and the RPMs go down to idle. I've tried high and low bite-point adjustments and I'm always getting the same response which is not what is achieved (as shown below) in iRacing. 1. Are dual clutches supported accordingly in AMS2? 2. If so, does anyone have video or instructions on how to do launch properly with dual clutches and how to set the bite point correctly? Thanks in advance! clutch bite-point in iRacing with Fanatec's Podium Advanced Paddle Module:
I think you'll find that this feature does not require any support from AMS2, as all the paddles do is control the clutch input like your clutch pedal. So as long as your clutch pedal works, the paddles work as well.
The problem is when I hold the clutch and rev the car, it holds it, but as soon as I start releasing the clutch, my RPMs go to idle and I DO NOT get acceleration/ wheel slip as shown on the video. One of 3 things is happening here: 1. my bitepoint is way off. 2. I'm not doing it correctly. 3. The F1 Ultimate Gen2 clutch isn't actually working as intended. It could also be a combination of 1,2. However, for point 1, I have tried all clutch bite points from 10 to 100 in 10% increments and not once did it work as in the video. For point 2, well... it can't be easier than doing it just like in iRacing. It works perfectly fine in iRacing as shown in the video. So that leaves me with point 3, or maybe the launch sequence is different in AMS2.
