We were due to run a part wet race this weekend, changing to a dry track about half way in. We tested today, and 2 or 3 of us had issues with the pit strategy failing to change the tyre compound to softs, it put wets on instead. The pit strategies were definitely set up to put softs on. One guy pitted a second time, and checked in the pit selection menu that soft tyres were selected. He was given wets again. On the 3rd attempt, he was given the correct tyres. Cars and track used were F USA Gen 2 at Daytona Car setups were set with wet tyres, not automatic by weather in case that has something to do with it. If it was just one person, maybe user error, but not 3. Bit of a problem for using changeable weather races..... Any ideas would be appreciated. Andy
We had some adjustments for pit stops (pitcrew errors for example) in Release Candidate. Good to have an eye on that when using RC or when the new update drops definitively, so if you get the issues also in the later versions please report back if you may. Thanks a lot!
Will do. Incidentally, the last time this happened to me, was when I was practicing for the AMS2 CC race at Watkins Glen with similar conditions. This was practicing on our dedicated server, and it took me 3 attempts to change to soft tyres in the Sigma car. Thankfully it didn't happen in the actual event, and I don't recall anyone saying they had the issue on the event night, so maybe server related. I don't think there is anything specific in our DS that would be different to the official JR race server, as we also use JR to manage our servers.
