    I've got a couple of ideas for you... I'll do some testing on a Mini challenge livery (as I know it works with all shaders) over the weekend and see what happens... There might be some play in the transparency of the alpha and a couple of combinations of base livery and spec/fresnel files that could work...

    More than happy to collaborate and do some differences to my skins for your 1988 mod... I'm putting together a 1989 mod with more of a flavour of the season than trying to BOP it...

    I don't know if this an error or just badly unwrapped but right now I'm having a hard time to paint the Porsche Carrera RSR 3.0 at this spot (see images) . It is where two areas meet.

    The issue here:
    The yellow area shouldn't be visible at all because the UV grid is not covering it. So why is it visible on the painted car? Also I cannot get my head around how the flow of the lines is. What causes this sort of triangle (pink and yellow)? I have spent hours on this part and don't know how to solve it.

    When i am having a problem like this, i divide the whole template in 4 parts each with a different color, then export and check which color covers the area i cannot find.

    Once i narrowed it down, i then proceed to divide that quarter of the template with 4 different colors again. Then that area with 4 different colors. Rinse and repeat until i found the problematic area.

    That's basically what I did: I divided different parts of the uv map with different colors. Still, I cannot see what's happening here.

    A little trick in case it works for you. I put this image on a layer, I leave it semi-transparent and you no longer have doubts, you just have to see the coordinates :)

    By the way.... I took the image from this same forum, although I couldn't say who contributed it.

    My first idea bore fruits... What I did was treat the alpha with a not 100% transparent finish (21 out of 255) and then use spec and fresnel files to create a lighter shine and a slightly different effect on the orange stripes...

    20230121042601_1.jpg And with a lighter blue and darker orange 20230121041950_1.jpg

    The xml set up is...

    <LIVERY_OVERRIDE LIVERY="74" NAME="BTCC TEST" BASELIVERY="BlueMetallic">
    <PREVIEWIMAGE PATH="BTCC \TESTp.dds" />
    <TEXTURE NAME="BODY" PATH="BTCC \TEST.dds" />
    <TEXTURE NAME="SPEC" PATH="BTCC \TEST_spec.dds" />
    <TEXTURE NAME="FRESNEL" PATH="BTCC \TEST_fresnel.dds" />
    </LIVERY_OVERRIDE>

    I'll send ya the files somehow as I can't attach a .rar here...

    Hey thanks for your efforts to help me. This looks very promising. I will have a look at the files when I get to my PC. I am curious to see how you realized this

    Cart 1995:
    When using a livery mod, neither gold or silver wheels work for the Reynard Fords since latest update, all tyres are black.

    Edit: Same issue with the Lola Ford. No problems with the other 3 cars.

    That's an improvement... None of them worked for me in December... Unless they were all the same wheels...

    Strange, because for me, all worked fine. For example, Villeneuve's Team Green Players car had gold wheels. Now they are black.
    Gave it a try today with all different models (oval, short oval, road course), but no difference.

    Yeah, it's annoying. Anyone know if that's a known/reported bug?

    did you check the latest _dist xmls.
    Maybe something in the syntax changed when they added the helmets and suits

    or they made a typo or forgot a line in the internal .rcf files linking to the overrides.
    Then its a bug

    Not at my PC this evening, but it would be strange if Reiza changes the syntax only for the Fords in this class but not for Mercedes and Honda.
