Dual configuration (VR-Monitor)

Is there a simple way to have two different game configs (graphics, hud, etc) depending if I launch the game in VR or with monitor? I suppose swapping config files is a way, perhaps there is a simpler one. Btw, in case swapping files is the way, in which one/s those settings are stored?

Sorry if this was already discussed somewhere in the forums. I searched, but I did not find anything.

Best is to have 2 config folders, just renaming it with a start script

 

Doesn't the game already do this? I always play in VR I thought that it already stores separate configs for "boot to VR" and "boot to monitor". I've not tested this so this is a question not a statement of fact!

 

Check these 2 folders:
\My Documents\Automobilista 2\savegame\<>\automobilista 2\profiles
\My Documents\Automobilista 2\

e.g. seat settings, hud settings are not stored in the graphicsconfig files

 

so what config files are they stored in? You describe the best solution but don't say which config folder one needs to duplicate for this to work.

How do you chose in which mode the game starts? I usually run it from steam and select there monitor/openvr mode. Can this be done passing an argument to the AMS2 executable?
