Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

Strange that overwriting an existing strategy is counted as new one by the game.
But I deleted the old one and then I could save.

Edit: Gonna delete the video on YT now.

 

I have tyre wear set to authentic.

 

R390 on Hockenheim Historic 1977, 1988 and 2001. The short versions are OK and modern layouts are OK as well.

Track & Layout Used: Daytona
Car Used: DPi and GTE
Applicable Settings: Multiplayer
Report: At least 4 people are disconnected from the game when the game switches to the race when more than 10 people are on the server. It has happened in back to back races for me. Doesn't matter if the connections are all local or global.
Steps to reproduce: Get more than 10 people on a lobby, more than 25 will definitely cause it, and run a qualy session before switching to the race and see who drops out..

 

After restarting we lost 10 people due to disconnects out of 27... 2 have been confirmed to be from their end... At least 6 were from AMS2 disconnecting them...

Car:Mitsubishi Lancer
Applicable settings:Single player championship
Report:Track limits warning at turn 1 on every lap regardless of whether track limits have been exceeded.

 

F-USA Gen 2 Custom Championship:

Race 1 at Fontana Oval. Game loaded the Super Speedway model as it should.
BUT: Race 2 at Spielberg GP and game there also loaded the Super Speedway car, which is not meant to go on such a track and is barely driveable.
Had to give up the championship because it is just no fun to be sent out on a road track with an oval car.




When doing a single race against AI, game loads the right model.

 

Very often when loading a race, game shows a world record which is not on the list in TT.
In the screenshots below you see an example (F_USA Gen 2, Fontana Oval).

Report: When I change wheel on my CSL DD, I have to remind every setting. I have two different profiles for each wheel, but still have to remind everything even though the right buttons are bound.

 

Track & Layout Used: Brands Hatch Indy
Car Used: F-Classic Gen3 M2
Applicable Settings: none
Report: TT times won't get listed. This applies for some other track/car combinations as well (for example Reynard 98i Ford on Indy 500).
Steps to reproduce: Use car and track combination, drive a lap - no record in listings (in addition, no times are listed at all).

 

Still very often have complete loss of FFB. Only happens in AMS 2. In RF2, Raceroom, AC, AMS 1 or any other racing title I never had/have an issue.

 

When you say "remind" do you mean remap or reassign the buttons?

A clue to what is happening my be that if you start AMS 2 without a specific controller connected, you often have to reassign some or all of the button assignments when you restart AMS 2 (after reconnecting the controller). Somewhere in the process it is losing the mappings when the device is not attached and cannot smoothly recover when the device is re-attached.

 

Yes I meant reassign (damn autocorrect), but I think that might be the problem and just restarting might be a fix, but I think that doesn't work.

 

If the problem is what I am describing, then just restarting with the controller attached will not fix it. But please confirm And, whether restarting and re-applying the profile fixes it.

 

My problem is after first changing wheel and then starting AMS2. First nothing gets detected and after a restart everything gets detected, but not bound even though it says in game they are bound
Edit: tried to change my wheel again and the same thing happened

 

Thanks--this is the same as I described. Will also happen if controller is temporarily not attached when AMS 2 is started. There should be a "smooth recovery" when you restart and the controller (that already has a defined profile) is now present, but it is not working.

 

Is there something I can do to fix this?

 

This will also happen when you have a controller that wasn't connected when you set up the profile...

For example if I leave my xbox controller in it'll screw up the entire profile and I have to start from scratch...
