Multiplayer issue syncing with AI and friends

Another user posted this issue so I know i'm not the only one.

When racing online with friends, as soon as there is AI with us, my speed/pace is super off compared to them and the AI. If we race just the 3 of us, no issue. Everything feels normal.

Let's say in Quali I do a 1.30, without AI, during the race with AI I do a 1.40. With the same efforts, same line.

Everybody is faster on a straight line, I feel like my revs are slower than in practice/single player and that we are not in sync. It's super strange.

I can play iRacing and AC just fine online, no issues. My internet connection is really fast and i'm wired in.

Any clues?

Do you have random mecanic failure ON ?

Happend once
.....I had one no issue on qual and as soon race started I got front left and rear right brake failure ( no braking, these two discs stayed Blue) .. Had to Do a pitstop for repair

 

Are you the lobby host? Sounds like running the AI overloads your CPU. When this happens, you start driving in slow motion relative to everyone else.

The online AI in general is super bad so it's not worth your time getting it to work.
