Automobilista 2 Mods!!!

Nope.

 

No they didn't use the "banned" FUSA 22 car. They sourced they're own model and did they're own work. It's Race Department, all it takes is one whiny brat and they take something down without even checking the meshes or data. They were told that the model comes from Project Cars 3 which is FALSE.

 

How do you know what RD were told?

 

Cause I'm in the team making the cars. I do physics testing and setup adjustments and help with finding erroneous problems in the cars.

I love AMS2 but it's hard to beat Outrun.

Idea was just to make the modifications into the few required text files automatically. I was going to 'support' a JSON file that had the details on where to fetch certain types of mods (skins, cars, tracks etc) with the idea that the app could serve as a mod-marketplace. I think showcasing mods (including paid mods) would really help drive the modding community forward and reward those that put in the effort.

Saying that, I wouldn't want to leach off servers (like RD) either. I guess this is one reason AC-ContentManager has the RD login method.

 

If you guys are interested in doing that let me get back to you first. There may be something in the works but i need to ask first.

 

No worries, I half expect the file structure to change in the coming months to make modding easier anyway, which may remove any need for separate tools.

 

Isn't that part of making it easier for all involved though?

People installing mods have a far easier job than those creating them at this point in time...

File has a virus unfortunately.

 

Out of curiosity, what is showing as a virus. It doesn't have any viruses and I've scanned it with two different programs just for fun but I didn't get any results of a virus.

 

I got the same thing and it was some kinda h!ml file or something. So I re-downloaded it and the second one was fine. Very odd.

Possibly a false positive of course, but i'd exercise caution until clarified
